An educator in his literary debut. A mix of true stories and intense meetings in a Psychiatric Hospital Service, with a common thread … care begins with the diagnosis but not in the report.

The author considers himself a lucky collector of stories, because in his daily work of education and rehabilitative services at a psychiatric hospital, he meets people that even in the moment of greatest weakness of their psychological distress and existential, which endow it with new biographies, turning points, original interpretive keys.

The purpose of this book is to make public these “unexpected encounters” that the author experiences in the Psychiatric Diagnosis and Treatment Service where he works.

Even today in Italy, despite the Law 180, the so-called Law has abolished the asylums Basaglia and its practices, persist in certain services and health policies, intervention models that confine the stories to diagnose, label, nosology.
