Thursday, August 9 the Exmà host another extraordinary quintet led by pianist Luca Mannutza Cagliari: rhythm, swing, personal invention and the classic bop sound of the band with saxophone and trumpet – spoon fed respectively by Paolo and Francesco Recchia Slow – and with the rhythm of Fattorini Luca on bass and Marcello Di Leonardo on drums.

Repeats the winning formula of a single ticket (aperitif – show – concert): from 20.00 to 22.00, and drink show, concert from 22.00.

Luke Mannutza

Born in Cagliari on September 22, 1968, Luke Mannutza approaches music very young age by his father who gives him the rudiments of music and piano at the age of four years. In 1974 he began studying classical piano privately and then enrolled five years later at the “GP da Palestrina” of Cagliari. Since 1993 he began performing alongside some of the best Italian musicians including Paolo Fresu, Emanuele Cisi, Maurizio Giammarco, Bebo Ferra, Francesco Sotgiu, Steve Grossman. In 1999 he moved to Rome where he began collaborating with singer Susanna Boots which Barga Jazz enter contests, live jazz and the Jazz festival in Malta. In June 2002 he won the Premio Massimo Urbani. In January 2003 he began teaching jazz piano at the Winter Seminar of Nuoro and then jazz piano at the Conservatory of Cagliari. He has collaborated with leading artists of the Italian scene, and not (Jeremy Pelt), and has participated in major international jazz festivals including the Umbria Jazz, Jazz in New York Italian, Parc Floral in Paris. In addition to performing solo piano and a quintet co-directed with Andy Gravish (Sound Advice), turns in a duet with Ionata, is part of the High Five (with them in addition to the success of the quintet has also shared the rise of Mario Biondi), the quartet Roberto Gatto, with whom he recorded “Traps” (Camjazz) and several other formations on top of Italian jazz. “Five for Fun” for Blue Note / EMI Italy, made with the High Five is a box office hit in Japan. In 2010 Abeat realizes for the album “Adventures trio” with Alessio Menconi’s guitar and drums of the great Aldo Romano, in which only plays the Fender Rhodes.
