Urban Infest, a project started two years ago and carried on with much effort and many satisfactions and that host has seen many bands, most of them originating in our island. A showcase for the many bands that have been so ‘s opportunity to present itself to a different audience.
Urban Infest stops in Cabras, more precisely in the spectacular scenery of Square Pond, the ‘large yard where you can see the beautiful view of the pond and Pontis Mar’e of’ whole Sinis. A scenario that frames all ‘event promises to be really hot.

ROOTS IN CONCRETE: The band was formed near the coast near Rome, in 1993. At the group’s name was Roots in concrete. The sounds are mostly reggae, dub and some veins with clear changes faster (Ska and Rocksteady). In May 1995, the formation is stable and the group takes on the final name of Roots in the cement, and from there begin the live concerts, especially in areas in and around Rome. In 1996, the first record, which shows the group name, produced by Shout Records Strong. Immediately you hear a reggae contaminated with other rhythms, but is immediately very popular, so much so that in the cement iRadici leave for an Italian tour with various events in France, Spain and Switzerland. In 1997 the group collaborated conCharlie Anderson (The Selecter) and play two concerts in Rome. In 1998, the Roots in the cement accompany Laurel Aitken, the Godfather of Ska. In the same year they released their second album, Peoples sale preceded by the single, Guns of Brixton, The Clash’s cover of the famous song, which sees the participation diLaurel Aitken and Fermin Muguruza (Negu Gorriak, Kortatu). These outputs follows a long Italian and European tour, which is also showcased the band’s first music video, song taken from the Albanian dream. In 2001 comes the countdown, the group’s third album, the style more varied than the previous. Among the collaborations names such as Roy Paci and Madaski (Africa Unite) on keyboards and backing vocals contributions from Evy Arnesano. Come down from the other three music videos: the countdown, Roseanne, and Echelon. In the next tour to mention in particular the performances at Palavobis of Milan as the opening of UB40, and Rototom as support band of Alton Ellis. In 2004, in collaboration with V2 Records released Eye! Fifth studio album of the group. From this record is the fifth video portion of the group: Ansai as we like. In September 2005 the band recorded the album was released in May 2006, the title is not yet over. In March 2008 the group announced, during a performance, a new tour to coincide with the release of new album, The country of Pulcinella.

TRAIN TO ROOTS: What, is surely one of Sardinia’s most famous reggae reality. Born in Sassari in 2004, Train To Roots are considered today among the most important bands of the Italian reggae scene. The band has won the 2006 prize for best Italian group at the European Reggae Contest organized by Rototom. After an intense study in the early years the band has reached the stage of calcareous major reggae festivals in Italy, including Rototom Sunsplash, Reggae Explosion (RO), Sardinia Reggae Festival (SS), Festival of the Sun ( GE) and many others, and crossed the borders to perform in Spain, Slovenia, Hungary and Germany. Also significant is the participation in the B Side of Radio DeeJay compilation curated by Alessio Bertallot popular DJ. In 2010 the band is enriched by the presence of a new singer, Rootsman I, bringing to a formation of three voices with great impact and Paolinho Bujumannu. The change of direction sought by the band is clearly manifested in the song Is not a crime to report the first single product in 2010, and dedicated to Rototom, the largest gathering of European reggae, forced to abandon the Italian venue for political reasons. The band has also collaborated with numerous other bands of the new Italian reggae scene, among them stands the Roots Unity Tour 2011, which saw them tread the principal stages of Italy and Spain for more than four months with the group Friuli Mellow Mood. An ambitious project, with part of the concert dedicated to the memory of Bob Marley, the very year of the thirtieth anniversary of his death. The last album ever released in 2011, Breathin Faya was presented to the public with the first two concerts in Cagliari on 30 aprile2011 sardines in the company of numerous bands, and the second in their city, Sassari, June 21, 2011 in front of several thousand of people. The 2011 tour ends in October 2011 with eighty dates. The Reggae Lovers 2012 tour opened last April 30 in Cagliari in the now traditional concert at the Piazza in front of hundred thousand to over 30,000 people.

b: two (from the Sardinian “your bie, kastia tui” = see you) was founded in March 2010 and consists of 8 elements. Personalities, different styles and influences make jam in the room and find the group. The first track, Welcome to Mercutius banality and # 4 are “critical dela Award” to WestContest2010 and distance of a few months, the group is ranked first in the “XVI Festival” Arts et Sonos “Ruinas, earning his participation in the MEI in Faenza (2010 ) and Brinca Festival 2011 in Bologna.
