THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT – EXMA’ – CAGLIARI – 6 TO 23 SEPTEMBER

A group exhibition open until September 23 that takes its cue from the novel by Salvatore Satta “Judgment Day” and involves four artists Silvia Argiolas, Nicola Caredda, Paul pibi and Daniele Serra.

In the Hall of Terrace dell’Exmà Cagliari opens Thursday, September 6 at 19 pm on the day of judgment, group show curated by Roberta Vanali.

The exhibition can be visited until 23 September, created in collaboration with the Cultural Association Babel, inspired by the epic novel and visionary Salvatore Satta “Judgment Day” and involves four Sardinian artists: Silvia Argiolas, Nicola Caredda, Paul and pibi Daniele Serra. Each of them presents a sort of personal topic that translates into installation pictorial for a total of 57 works of different sizes made of various techniques, capable of translating the controversial contemporary period.

The slope of the four artists to combine iconographic sources from low culture and the high flows in the exploration of an imaginary grotesque, sometimes macabre. An apparent escape from reality to reflect on the mystery of his being between life and death and the transience of existence.

Backgrounds and different territorial origin, united by the neo pop of research, with a variety of grafts ranging from the imaginary to the urban media, from illustration to comics, from music to movies, not to mention the tradition of painting, artists, through painting, reflect on the dark side of existence.

To provide appropriate tools for the understanding of the exhibition, September 20 to 19, will host the conference by Carla Deplano on New figuration, starting with the Trans to the present day, entitled The Return of the image in the age Postmodern .
