SPRING IN MARGHINE – BIRORI – 16 TO 17 JUNE

Fourth round of the event in the Spring and Ogliastra Marghine 2012, this time doubled, on 16 and 17 June 2012 it will be in Birori Marghine and Urzulei Ogliastra to open their Cortes.
Birori Marghine is a small town, along the ss 131 and close to Macon, needless to say as the whole area is characterized by many testimonies of the past: Nuraghi, dolmens and tombs of the giants. A real show open to all lovers of archeology! In Spring 2012 to Marghine Birori, the complete program:
Friday, June 15, 2012 – 18.00 – Opening of the exhibition (assembly room) and opening of exhibitions and houses of the old town.
Saturday, June 16, 2012 – From 8.30 to 18.00 – Painting Competition impromptu “Glimpses and archaeological landscapes in Birori”, organized by the NGO Commitment to quality of life; – 9.00 am – Visit the exhibits and houses in the historic center; – 10.00 – Demonstration forging horseshoes; – 10.30 hrs – Conference / debate on “Bilingualism, writing, and the doors of the Sardinian language” (Council Hall) Speakers: Dr. Corraine Diego and Dr. Antonella Licheri. Presentation of the book “Deo, Sun and Deus,” the author Lidia Murgia; – 12.30 pm – Festival of “On Cottu Bread” by the Committee S. Stephen Birori; – 18.00 – Parade jugglers and street entertainers along the route of the courts; – At 19.00 – Prize giving impromptu painting competition (council chamber); – At 22.00 – Performance of Sardinian music and poetry “and Sonos Paraulas” with the poetess Lydia Murgia and the musical accompaniment of Antonio Farris, Simon Schirru and Giuseppe Murgia.
