The song is a tribute to the poetic cageana year that celebrates the centenary of the birth of the composer. The sound material of departure is in fact made up of ten short excerpts from a recording of “Concerto for prepared piano and chamber orchestra” composed by John Cage between 1950-1951.

“Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions”
Audio / visual performance based on the novel by Edwin A. Abbott
Ferrazza with Marco and Claudio Porceddu

Thirty years or more ago, Dr. Edwin Abbott wrote a little jeu d’esprit called Flatland. At the time of its publication the book did not attract the attention it deserved. Dr. Abbott shows intelligent beings whose experience is confined to a plane, or other two-dimensional space, and does not have the power to realize how to exist outside of that space, nor the means to get out of the area on which they live. Then he asks the reader, who has no concept of the third dimension, to imagine a ball that falls on the plain of Flatland, crossing it. Consider this phenomenon as the inhabitants?
