SNAKE PLATFORM – “THE CIRCUS AND THE CAGE” – EXMA’ – CAGLIARI – TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 11

The event will last exactly 100 minutes, under the artistic direction of Daniel Ledda Sassu and Simone, who has achieved over the past few years, various editions of MusicCircus.

The event will be Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at 19:00, at the Exmà in via San Lucifer of Cagliari. The event will take place in the space of the courtyard dell’Exmà, the audience will move freely.

Cage, the composer and philosopher most influential American of the 20th century, known for his composition icon of silence 4 “33” represents the Musicircus happening in 1967. L ‘idea of Cage is to invite a wide range of musicians and artists who perform different jobs at the same time to create a sound unique, exciting and somewhat anarchic.

The event brings together a wide variety of musicians, artists, actors, dancers, academics, chess players, street artists. Are therefore represented very different styles and genres controlled by a specific time schedule. The audience wanders through the space and enjoys the unique collision of different events. The artists are stuck in assigned positions.

“Snake_Platform” is a project of Daniel Ledda improvisation with a group of instant composition that uses a repertoire of signs and rules of interaction. E ‘born with the support of the collective Improring Sardinia.

“Snake_Platform” is designed for a group of improvisers and a “prompter – Director”. Basically, the manager collects the requests of individual musicians and shows the signals that determine the specific interactions between the players, for this is midway between a role-playing game music and a social experiment.

The number of improvisers, instrumentation and length of the piece is uncertain, and it is not based on a traditional notation, the sound is very different from one execution to another
