Tra eleganze barocche, accenti romantici e aforismi sonori del Novecento per un viaggio tra quattro secoli di musica, con il recital del pianista siciliano Salvatore Monzo, protagonista DOMANI (mercoledì 6 marzo) alle 20.30 sul palco del MiniMax/ il Ridotto del Teatro Massimo di Cagliari nel terzo appuntamento con la Stagione Concertistica 2013 dagli Amici della Musica.
Sotto i riflettori il giovane (classe 1985) e brillante interprete dello strumento a tastiera, che proporrà un eclettico programma dove le virtuosistiche Sonate di Domenico Scarlatti lasciano il posto alle originali invenzioni della Sonata n.14 in la minore D 784 di Franz Schubert, e ancora in un suggestivo gioco di alternanze le note dei Préludes di Claude Debussy fanno da contrappunto alle pagine dei Six Encores (Brin e Leaf) di Luciano Berio. Finale squisitamente “romantico” con la celebre Fantasia Op.28 di Felix Mendelssoh-Bartholdy, tra inquietudini e pathos, ritmiche incalzanti e l’energia racchiusa in un Piano con fuoco, e le magnifiche Händel Variationen Op.24 di Johannes Brahms.
Un itinerario di grande suggestione, il cui l’artista siciliano, ormai affermato concertista, con esordi da enfant prodige appena tredicenne, e vincitore di premi e riconoscimenti in importanti competizioni pianistiche, esplorerà la ricca tavolozza espressiva degli 88 tasti, dalle Sonate K 125, K 491 e K 547 di Scarlatti, vivace sperimentatore dell’arte del clavicembalo nel pieno dell’Età Barocca fino alle composizioni di uno dei protagonisti della fervida stagione dell’avanguardia nel XX secolo, Luciano Berio, che in Brin e Leaf, le partiture più recenti dei suoi Six Encores, esprime una squisita poetica fatta di note impalpabili, magiche armonie e intime risonanze. Un’incursione nell’età dell’Impressionismo, tra la calma di Bruyères (Brughiere) e la vivacità scherzosa di Ondine (Ondina) dal Secondo Libro dei Preludi di Debussy, e poi tutto il fascino del Romanticismo in musica nella scrittura di Schubert, che sovverte le regole classiche con la sua Sonata D 784 mentre la Fantasia medelssoniana (il cui titolo originale è Sonate écoissaise) incentrata su un canto arcaico  e remoto, riprende la struttura della forma sonata. Suggellerà l’assolo di Salvatore Monzo l’intrigante architettura sonora delle Variazioni su un tema di  Händel firmate da Johannes Brahms, uno dei capolavori assoluti  della letteratura pianistica, nonché della storia della musica occidentale.

La  Stagione Concertistica 2013 degli Amici della Musica di Cagliari,  proseguirà con un ciclo di appuntamenti dedicati alla musica da camera ancora al Ridotto del Teatro Massimo, tra recital pianistici e performances in duo, accanto a rassegne e Festivals di Musica Antica, Musica Contemporanea e Musica Acusmatica. Il prossimo appuntamento al MiniMax sarà mercoledì 24 aprile sempre alle 20.30 con Alessandra Macellaro La Franca, che accosterà partiture di Franz Liszt e Maurice Ravel a opere di Nikolaj Girshevich Kapustin e Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Riflettori puntati mercoledì 8 maggio alle 20.30 sul duo formato dalla violinista russa Alfia Bakieva con Francesco Biscari al violoncello, alle prese con musiche di Ludwig van Beethoven e Reinhold Glière, Maurice Ravel e Bohuslav Martinù. E ancora mercoledì 12 giugno alle 20.30 l’assolo dell’eclettico e virtuoso interprete dello strumento a tastiera Andrea Bacchetti, sulle note di Johann Sebastian Bach e Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Liszt, Louis Diémer e Lucio Garau, Claude Debussy, Frédéric Chopin e perfino Gioachino Rossini.

Between baroque elegance, romantic accents and aphorisms sound of the twentieth century for a journey through four centuries of music, with the recital of the Sicilian pianist Salvatore Monzo, starring TOMORROW (Wednesday, 6 March) at 20.30 on stage MiniMax / the foyer of the Teatro Massimo di Cagliari in the third round with the Concert Season 2013 by the Friends of Music.
In the spotlight the young (born in 1985) and brilliant interpreter of the keyboard instrument, which will offer an eclectic program where the virtuoso sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti give way to genuine inventions of the Sonata # 14 in A minor, D 784 by Franz Schubert, and still a fascinating interplay of the notes of Claude Debussy Préludes are a counterpoint to the pages of Six Encores (Brin and Leaf) by Luciano Berio. Final purely “romantic” with the famous Fantasia Op.28 by Felix Mendelssoh-Bartholdy, including anxiety and pathos, insistent rhythms and the energy contained in a plan with fire, and the magnificent Handel Variations Op.24 by Johannes Brahms.
An itinerary of great beauty, of which the Sicilian artist, now a successful musician, with beginnings as a child prodigy just thirteen years old, and won awards in major piano competitions, explore the rich palette of expression of the 88 keys, from Sonata K 125, K 491 and K 547 by Scarlatti, lively art investigator of the harpsichord in full Baroque Age to the compositions of one of the protagonists of the fervid season-garde in the twentieth century, Luciano Berio, which Brin and Leaf, scores more Six of his recent Encores, expresses an exquisite poetic notes made of ethereal, magical harmonies and intimate resonances. Raid in the age of Impressionism, between the calm of Bruyères (Moors) and the playful vivacity of Ondine (Undine) in the Second Book of Preludes of Debussy, and then all the charm of Romanticism in music writing by Schubert, which subverts the traditional rules with his Sonata D 784 while the Fantasia medelssoniana (whose original title is Sonatas écoissaise) focuses on a remote and archaic hand, based on the structure of sonata form. Will seal the solo Salvatore Monzo the intriguing architecture of sound Variations on a Theme by Handel signed by Johannes Brahms, one of the masterpieces of piano literature and the history of Western music.

The 2013 Concert Season of the Friends of Music in Cagliari, will continue with a series of events dedicated to chamber music still in the foyer of the Teatro Massimo, including piano recitals and performances as a duo, along with exhibitions and Festivals of Early Music, Contemporary Music and Music acousmatic.
