Organized by the Culture Department of the City of Pula, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 21:00 in the arcade of the Archaeological Museum “G.Patroni”, with the participation of Dr. Edward Mark Minoja, Superintendent of the Archaeological Heritage of the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano and Interim Superintendent for Archaeological Heritage of the provinces of Sassari and Nuoro, opens the eighth edition of PulArchàios.

Also this year are scheduled conferences of scholars participating in the archaeological mission, appointment now familiar to Nora that repeats for 23 years.

Four universities involved: Genoa, Milan, Padua and Viterbo. Besides the reports of archaeologists who will explain the new acquisitions made possible by digging our ancient city, in the course of about a month there will be other meetings which the topic relates to issues that concern or are closely related to the archaeological site. The prologue of PulArchàios has already had on August 17 last year, with the launch of a theater workshop with the participation of the pupils of the Comprehensive “B.Croce” of Pula, which will be concluded on Sunday, September 9 with the public performance of the show play “Barones and Brigantes.” During the event, two other workshops are scheduled handled by Cop.Tur. open to participation by all.

Of particular note is the meeting of September 25 with the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano which focuses on the restoration of the Roman theater of Nora, re-delivered to the Culture just recently with the XXX Festival “The Night of the Poets” and The fourth edition of “Nora Jazz Festival”. On 29 and 30 September, coinciding of the European Heritage Days, the site of Nora, the Spanish tower Coltellazzo and the Museum “Patrons” will be open free to the public with guided tours by the Cop.Tur., As in the days of Saturday 8-15-22-29 September the site will be open “on the nightfall” (admission € 10 Euro, by reservation) PulArchàios will close its doors on October 6 with the classic round of “Romanum Convivium” revival of a lunch Roman edited by students of the Hotel Pula, realized with the collaboration of Cop.Tur. and Pro Loco di Pula.
