As part of “The Night of the poets” now in its thirtieth year, makes its debut Nora Jazz Festival (1-4 August).

Singer, songwriter, composer, producer and TV host, China Moses, is the classic example of American Entertainer, has collaborated with great artists such as Camille, Raul Midon and Guru. Daughter of art debut in a musical context definitely different, “are primarily influenced by the music and I love Soul Rhythm and Blues,” he says. Signed his first record deal was very young. Raphael Lemonnier

Pianist born in Nimes, Raphael Lemonnier has worked with Jaki Byard, PPhilippe Duchemin et Philippe Lejeune. After debuting in his hometown in 1992 by Guy joins the orchestra for a concert series Labory the Nouvelle-Orléans. In 1996 he settled in New York, playing in the clubs of Manhattan et studied piano and arranging with Jaki Byard, old pianist Charlie Mingus. Influenced by Oscar Peterson, but mainly from Erroll Garner, devotes his first album recorded in 1997 in New York. Back in France and continues the work of arranger with Yvan Jullien. In 2000 he met the jazz singer Liz Newton with whom he recorded two albums and complete the training “JazzBird.” In 2001 he founded the Jazz Septet and in 2002 recorded the second album well received by critics. It ‘s also the year when he founded the Orchestra with Chris Gonzales, a formation that brings together musicians from diverse backgrounds and retrieves the style of music for dance and the elegant dance in the meantime, production continues in the international jazz scene by choosing a genre eclectic and open to other music than jazz. His music is nourished by multiple influences driven by curiosity and meetings.

In 2005 he worked with actress Doumée the show “Tragiques et Ribambelles.” Collaborated with flamenco guitarist Gregorio Sanchez-Ibor album “Dame la Mano.” Also in 2006 she created the show “Gardenias for Dinah” with the Soul and R & B singer China Moses, free jazz singer Dinah Washington, presented at the Festival du Jazz agglomer au rythme in Nimes.
