NEW YEAR’S EVE IN MOSCOW – DECEMBER 28 TO JANUARY 5

 

If you are equipped with warm clothes and a heavy wallet, Moscow will be one of the most fascinating cities to spend the New Year. The Russian capital is a city of magnificent and majestic, imperial-looking but not particularly economical since it is now one of the reference point of the “new rich” of the world. As with the rest of Europe, on the evening of December 31 is dedicated to the New Year’s Eve. And ‘a must wait for midnight in the huge Red Square: every year hosts a mega concert with live music and, at the stroke of midnight, the incredible spectacle of fireworks illuminating the sky of the Russian city. After the fireworks there are two possibilities: dance till dawn in nightclubs or enjoy a drink in a club. In Moscow there are some of the most exclusive clubs in Europe and will not be easy to enter to spend New Year. The advice is to contact the operators who, from Italy, can get you a pass for a truly unforgettable evening.
Those who are staying a few more days in the city, have to admire the enormous artistic heritage of Moscow: the Kremlin, Red Square, the imposing Church of St. Basil, the Lenin Mausoleum, the Pushkin Museum and the two main parks of the city (Gorky and Victory Park) tell the same pride of what was once the capital of the Soviet bloc.
Finally, during the New Year holiday in Moscow, not only children but can have a great time practicing winter sports right in the city: ski slopes, snowboarding, ice skating are set up a little ‘everywhere in the city, from Gorky Park Izmaylovski Park of all, the famous Patriarch’s Ponds, the metro station Nagornaja.
