NEW YEAR’S EVE 2013 IN VALENCIA

After dinner, sooner after midnight, the event is the Plaza Ayuntamiento, in the heart of the city. Here everyone is waiting for the twelve chimes of the clock tower. Tradition has it that after everyone must eat a grape: this will be a good omen for the coming year. Immediately after the sky lights up with fireworks that characterize every New Year’s Eve in Valencia and marking the beginning of the new year.
During the wee hours is the typical nightlife scene in Spain. In the streets of the Barrio del Carmen, near the Cathedral, in Calle de Caballeros and Plaza de la Virgen, full of garlands and lights, there are plenty of clubs, bars and discos packed with people moving from one bar to another drinking and having fun. Guys come and go continuously from the premises in a decidedly cheerful.
What better way to celebrate the New Year? Great food, carnivals and nightlife in the bars. All of this can be found in Valencia!
