MOSTRA PER IL 70° ANNIVERSARIO DEI BOMBARDAMENTI SU CAGLIARI\EXHIBITION FOR THE CAGLIARI BOMBING OF THE 70th ANNIVERSARY CAGLIARI

SETTANTESIMO ANNIVERSARIO BOMBARDAMENTI 1943-2013

Una mostra partecipata nella quale tutti i cittadini sono chiamati a dare il proprio apporto di conoscenza, suggestione, sentimento, nostalgia, dolore e memoria

Rovistate nei vostri cassetti, nelle vecchie scatole di latta nelle quali voi o i vostri cari avete conservato fotografie, lettere, diari e ricordi di quel terribile 1943, e del periodo della II Guerra Mondiale in generale, che ha cambiato per sempre la vita di molti cagliaritani. Nel settantesimo anniversario dei bombardamenti, le vogliamo riscoprire mettendo al centro i ricordi, i documenti e le testimonianze conservati da coloro che hanno vissuto quell’esperienza e dalle famiglie che di essa ne hanno preservato la memoria. Attimi che hanno stravolto la vita di migliaia di persone con esiti sicuramente drammatici, ma che hanno portato l’emergere di nuove amicizie, la nascita di grandi amori, il moltiplicarsi dei gesti di solidarietà, l’insorgere di passioni private e politiche fiorite sul terreno di una tragedia così grande come la morte della città.

La mostra si svilupperà con l’apporto di tutti, da febbraio a maggio 2013 nelle sale del SEARCH (sotto piano Palazzo Civico di Via Roma) ed illustrerà le vicende umane pubbliche e private della II guerra mondiale legate alla nostra città; dalla vita della comunità precedente ai terribili bombardamenti del ’43, agli sfollati e alla dedizione a Sant’Efisio, fino al ritorno della popolazione a Cagliari e alla sua ricostruzione.

Col contributo di tutti desideriamo riscoprire tutto questo e metterlo al centro delle manifestazioni del settantesimo anniversario dei bombardamenti, chiediamo quindi a tutti i cittadini di portare il proprio contributo, mettendo a disposizione testimonianze, fotografie, diari e lettere che andranno a costituire il nucleo fondamentale del racconto corale e partecipato al quale vogliamo dar voce, attraverso una mostra documentaria in cui la storia individuale si intrecci fortemente con quella narrataci dalla Storia.

Tutte le persone che desiderano partecipare alla mostra prestando fotografie, scritti, diari, lettere ecc., risalenti a quel periodo possono recarsi dalle ore 10.00 alle ore 13.00 il mercoledì ed il venerdì presso:

Il materiale verrà preso in consegna con il rilascio di una ricevuta e sarà restituito a conclusione delle iniziative inerenti le celebrazioni.

Seventieth anniversary BOMBING 1943-2013

An exhibition subsidiary in which all citizens are called to give their contribution to our knowledge, suggestion, sentiment, nostalgia, pain and memory

Rummage around in your drawers, in the old tin boxes in which you or your loved ones have kept photographs, letters, diaries and memories of that terrible 1943, and the period of World War II in general, which has forever changed the lives of many Cagliari . In the seventieth anniversary of the bombings, we discover by focusing on the memories, documents and testimony preserved by those who have lived the experience of it and families who have preserved the memory. Moments that have upset the lives of thousands of people with an outcome certainly dramatic, but that led to the emergence of new friends, the birth of great love, the multiplication of gestures of solidarity, the emergence of private passions and political flowering on the ground of a tragedy as great as the death of the city.

The exhibition will be developed with the contribution of all, from February to May 2013 in the halls of SEARCH (under floor of the Town Hall Via Roma) and explain human affairs public and private World War II related to our city, the life of the community previous to the terrible bombing in ’43, displaced persons and dedication to Sant’Efisio, until the return of the population to Cagliari and its reconstruction.

With the contribution of all want to discover all this and put it in the middle of the events of the seventieth anniversary of the bombing, then ask all citizens to make a contribution by providing evidence, photographs, diaries and letters that will form the core of the choral narration and participated in which we want to give voice, through a documentary exhibition in which the individual history is intertwined with that strongly recounts the history.

All persons wishing to participate in the show taking photographs, writings, diaries, letters, etc.., From that period can go from 10.00 to 13.00 on Wednesdays and Fridays at:
City Palace (Palace Square no. 6, Cagliari – Cathedral side);
MEM – Media in the Mediterranean, Via Mameli 164 / B, Cagliari (ex Via Pola market);
SEARCH – Largo Carlo Felice 1 (under-Civic Building Via Roma).

The material will be taken over with a receipt and will be returned at the conclusion of the initiatives related to the celebrations.
