Venerdì 3 Maggio, alle 21.00, nei locali del Circolo Culturale Enogastronomico Arci “Il Vecchio Mulino”, in via Frigaglia n.5 a Sassari, si presenta “MINOSSE – poetry slam Sassari”, che vedrà sfidarsi sul palco alcune delle migliori voci e penne del territorio. Lo slam, che conta un successo dilagante in tutto il mondo, ha regole molto semplici: 3 minuti a testa, solo voce e corpo, testo scritto di proprio pugno, il pubblico decreta il vincitore. Oltre a essere una gara però, lo slam è molto di più: è un modo nuovo e allo stesso tempo antico di proporre l’arte della parola, una maniera di scuotere la poesia fuori dai libri e dalle incrostazioni scolastiche e restituirla alla comunità. Lo slam è un invito pressante al pubblico di superare l’atteggiamento passivo, condiscendente e superficiale delle spesso soporifere letture e presentazioni pubbliche di libri e prendere parte, farsi sentire, mettersi in gioco – perché di un gioco si tratta.

In gara ci saranno riconosciuti artisti della parola, del palco e della voce quali Lalla Careddu, Zianu degli Stranos Elementos, Alessandro Carta dei Nasodoble (alias Nicola di Banari), Gianni Tetti, Ignazio Chessa, ci saranno alcuni degli irriducibili che partecipano agli slam a Sassari dalla prima ora come Andrea Doro, Frankie Fancello, Giacomo Crobe e ci sarà chi si è prontamente iscritto al pubblico bando in rete come Luana Farina, Carlo Pietro Solinas, Rossella Fanni e Pierluigi Manchia. Tutti o quasi, forti di consolidate esperienze sul campo, proveranno a sottrarre il titolo di campione cittadino a Francesco Nurra, vincitore del “Barbacane Slam” tenutosi in piazza Castello lo scorso ottobre durante il festival “Ottobre in Poesia” organizzato dal POP. Inoltre, ci sono ancora 2 posti in gara riservati al poeta o scrittore che si vogliano iscrivere la sera stessa, in linea con l’idea, alla base dello slam e non solo dello slam, che debba essere la comunità, con meno filtri possibili, a decidere chi merita di prendere o mantenere la parola in pubblico.
L’idea alla base dell’iniziativa è quella di mettere le basi anche a Sassari per uno slam regolare come a Berlino, Londra, Chicago, San Paolo, Reims, Roma e New York, o almeno come Vimercate.

La serata vedrà ospite d’eccezione fuori gara Clara Farina che interpreterà con la voce potente che la distingue alcune canzoni sarde, ricordando la tradizione millenaria e mediterranea di cui lo slam vuole rinnovare ancora una volta le radici. A Okio degli Stranos Elementos il compito di elettrizzare l’ambiente con stacchetti musicali e a Sergio Garau, che con lo slam ha girato in mezza Europa e oltre, quello di animare la serata, messa in piedi grazie al fondamentale contributo organizzativo di Giovanni Salis e del Vecchio Mulino. La grafica invece è a opera di Angelo Saccu.

Friday, May 3, at 21.00, in the premises of the Circolo Arci Cultural Food and Wine “The Old Mill”, in Frigaglia # 5 in Sassari, is “MINOS – Sassari poetry slam,” which will compete on stage some of the best voices and pens of the territory. Slam, which has a rampant success all over the world, has very simple rules: a 3-minute head, only voice and body, a text written in his own hand, the public decreed the winner. In addition to being a race though, slam is much more: it is a new and old at the same time to bring the art of speaking, a way to shake off the books and poetry from scale and return it to the school community. Slam is a pressing invitation to the public to overcome the passive attitude, condescending and superficial readings of the often soporific and public presentations of books and take part in, be heard, get involved – because of a game it is.

In the race there will be recognized artists of the word, the stage and the voice which Lalla Careddu, Zianu of Stranos Elementos, Alessandro Charter of Nasodoble (aka Nicholas of Banagher), Gianni Roofs, Ignatius Chessa, there will be some of the diehards who participate in the slam Sassari the first hour as Andrew Doro, Frankie Fancello, James Crobe and there will be those who will readily notice in writing to the public network as Luana Farina, Charles Peter Solinas, Scarlett Fanni and Pierluigi Manchia. All or almost all, of strong consolidated experience in the field, they will try to steal the title of national champion Francis Nura, winner of the “Barbican Slam” held in Castle Square last October during the festival “October in Poetry” organized by the POP. In addition, there are still 2 places in the race reserved to the poet or writer that you want to enter the same evening, in line with the idea, at the base of the slam and not just slam, it must be the community, with fewer filters possible, to decide who deserves to take or keep the word in public.
The idea behind the initiative is to lay the foundations also in Sassari for a slam as regular as in Berlin, London, Chicago, St. Paul, Reims, Rome and New York, or at least as Vimercate.

The evening will see special guest out of the race Clara Farina who will play with the powerful voice that distinguishes some songs sardines, remembering the old tradition and Mediterranean in the slam wants to renew once again the roots. A Okio of Stranos Elementos the task to electrify the atmosphere with musical interludes and Sergio Garau, who has toured with the slam over Europe and beyond, to liven up the evening, established thanks to the fundamental contribution of John Salis organizational and Old Mill. The graphics instead is the work of Angelo Saccu.
