MACHINES – ARCICONFRATERNITA OF GENOVESI MUSEUM – CAGLIARI – OCTOBER 19 TO NOVEMBER 25

Survey on logical conceptual issues taken with the show Carillon of 2009, this new exhibition titled Cars, Lino Fois returns to the theme of the viewer as an integral part of the work, “a poetics of involvement and the game.”

The machines are manufactured inspired by linguistic metaphors or phrases of communications today, as Crush naps, the friendships Tighten the Curl nose, Turn wish, born to satisfy needs such as sadness to remove Christmas decorations, draw castles in the air, proofread, count the stars, to measure the degree of incompleteness in the works and thoughts of small size. Identified needs of the author but probably common to other people.

The twenty-five machines on display assemblies are contained within wooden structures of various shapes and sizes that include gears, springs, pulleys, levers, pulleys, electrical circuits.
