Meeting in Cagliari with the Karel Music Expo: October 4 to 6 reopens the annual showcase of independent music and copyright conceived and organized by the cooperative Vox Day After the summer experience of the past year, the festival returns therefore to the his usual place in early autumn and confirmation, in its sixth year, spaces and well-established in the previous formula, a base once again in the historic district of Castello.

Three evenings of music (but not only), seventeen proposals in the bill, between groups and soloists of national and international, not without a look at the local scene and previews and five / six sets for the evening, one after another, in succession alternating on two stages set up at the Civic Theatre Castle, home of the now customary KME, plus two episodes in the nearby (and beautiful) Hall of the Rectorate eighteenth century, in University.

In the program of this edition, with the theme “Black” opens a tetralogy on colors inspired by the cultures of the world, a wide selection of styles and trends from song writing – with artists such as Edda and Luca Gemma – the narrative to music with project “We miss Toto” that unites Stefano Benni and Fausto Mesolella, and the reading of Wu Ming 2 “Ethnicity partisan” the mix of neo-psychedelic rock and indie pop vintage of the Galactic Maya eclectic palette of sounds of Bologna violent (solo project of Nicholas Manzan), to that of Guano Padano, made up of suggestions morriconiane, desert rock, country, folk, jazz and blues cross. The show is tinged then rose with the voices of Paola wrasse and Missincat (born Caterina Barbieri), while the scene is represented by the Sardinian solo projects of Cagliari and Sassari Henry Spanu BeeSide (Federico Pazzona), as well as dall’indie De Grinpipol rock, even their home in the capital Turritan.

Dedicated to independent music and copyright, with particular attention to quality content and innovation, Karel Music Expo has always promoted cultural exchange with the collaboration of its foreign partners, including Balcony TV (IRL), Network Europe ( the European network which includes operators of 13 countries) and Sonicbids (USA).

New this year is instead Award Akme ‘, a national award for the most innovative youth music project, which will be announced Sept. 29 at the Supersound of Faenza, during the evening dedicated to the MEI (Meeting of the independents) to the network of Festival .
