ICONS – MUNICIPAL CENTER FOR ART AND CULTURE EXMA ‘- JULY 12 TO 22

Thursday, July 12th at 19:00 at the Municipal Center for Art and Culture Exmà of Cagliari, opens the show Icons. Contemporary interpretations.

The exhibition of contemporary art was curated and produced by Yes We icon, a group created inside the Course of Specialization in Marketing Communication and Cultural Training organized dallAgenzia ExFor, nellambito dellAlta Training 2011-12, training project sponsored by the Region of Sardinia.

The “icons” mark the boundary between visible and invisible, symbol and sign collective dellimmaginario.

The exhibition aims to shape, through the 36 films submitted, the most significant and representative images of contemporary society, while giving a lecture in a symbolic way.

Icons are images mendaciously families have earned a collective space nellimmaginario becoming “common good” and identification of a company. Decontextualized and legendary status, the icons are the result of cultural stratification of those who rise to the totems of the plurality, a means by which manifests the invisible and transfigures the visible icons in there either imitation or representation.

There is only the picture that creates the myth, the myth, which in turn creates the picture.
