GITA ARCHEOLOGICA NEL SINIS -DOMENICA 5 MAGGIOARCHAELOGY TOUR IN SINIS – SUNDAY MAY 5

Cari amici,
per domenica 5 maggio vi propongo il seguente programma:

visiteremo la necropoli di Mont’e Prama nel territorio comunale di Cabras, ove nel 1974 un contadino rinvenne la prima statua in calcare alla quale fecero poi seguito le altre statue scoperte dagli archeologi che hanno cambiato la storia della civiltà nuragica. A pochi km dalla necropoli di Mont’e Prama faremo tappa alla tomba di giganti di Su Tingiosu, l’unica tomba di giganti scavata nella roccia, immersa in uno scenario mozzafiato di prati in fiore a pochi metri dalla splendida spiaggia di S’Anea Scoada nel territorio di Putzu Idu.

Dopo aver consumato il pranzo al sacco, magari sulla spiaggia, andremo a visitare il monumentale complesso nuragico di S’Uraki a San Vero Milis nel quale un recente scavo archeologico ha messo in luce un possente antemurale dotato di ben 7 torri!

Faremo visita poi al villaggio di San Salvatore, formato da cumbessias sorte nel medioevo attorno all’omonima chiesa e ad un complesso termale di epoca romana.

Infine concluderemo la giornata visitando la chiesa paleocristiana di San Giovanni di Sinis e il caratteristico villaggio dei pescatori a poca distanza dalle rovine di Tharros.

Ritrovo alle ore 8.30 presso i parcheggi della Media World di Sestu.
