Il Festival Internazionale Nuova Danza FIND, organizzato dall’associazione culturale
ASMED e da MAYA Inc., giunge alla trentunesima edizione con un programma particolarmente fitto di spettacoli ed eventi, per proporre con toni nuovi la sua straordinaria apertura all’internazionalità, alla pluralità di linguaggi artistici e alla multimedialità.

Il pubblico sarà invitato ad esplorare con occhi nuovi tutte le complesse sfaccettature
dell’universo danza, andando oltre il puro esito estetico, che pure non mancherà, in un percorso di indagine e riflessione sui contenuti e le modalità artistiche utilizzate dai diversi artisti internazionali e nazionali ospiti dell’evento per rappresentare la loro visione del mondo. In una società in cui media come la televisione continuano a plasmare il senso comune, proponendo gli stessi modelli artistici ed estetici artificiali e stereotipati, FIND 31 continua a perseguire la sua mission, quella che la maestra Paola Leoni impresse in quel lontano 1979, quando introdusse l’arte della danza contemporanea in Sardegna: proiettare lo sguardo sul futuro, vedere sempre al di là e in
prospettiva oltre la chiusura delle convenzioni e del conformismo asettico; istigare il pubblico al pensiero e alla riflessione attraverso le lenti complici della nuova danza.

Il programma in cartellone presenta 12 spettacoli (5 in prima nazionale, 2 con musica dal vivo, per un totale di 50 artisti inscena) che con ironia, slanci drammatici e intensità interpretativa s’interrogano sulla fragile dimensione della contemporaneità e sull’individuo che cerca il suo posto in essa, in un traballante processo di costante lotta e rinnovamento.

Ad aprire in bellezza la manifestazione sabato 26 ottobre al Teatro Massimo sarà la
compagnia belga Charleroi Danses, che dopo aver calcato la scena di FIND nel 1996 e 1997, con gli spettacoli Ex Machina e Moving Target, entrambi diretti da Fréderic Flamand, torna in Sardegna con la prima nazionale Soleils, ultimo capolavoro del genio artistico Pierre Droulers, già stato qui nel 1997 con Les petites formes. Soleils ha debuttato in modo trionfale al Kunstenfestivaldesarts di Bruxelles e si configura in primo luogo come lavoro di ricerca e di esplorazione del movimento in rapporto alle sue articolazioni con l’elemento Luce. Diverse le fonti di ispirazione attinte da Droulers: I versi malinconici di Emily Dickinson e quelli incandescenti di Dylan Thomas, ancestrali
riti pagani e vorticose danze brasiliane che creano sul palco un carnevale di luci.

Venerdì 1 novembre, nuovamente al Teatro Massimo, sarà la volta della spagnola
Compañía de Circo “eia”, con lo spettacolo Capas, in cui arti circensi e musica dal vivo si combinano armoniosamente con la danza. Al ritmo della batteria rock e di canti tradizionali, un armadio gigante e centrale si apre mostrando i suoi molteplici strati, carichi di poesia e di humor.

Domenica 3 novembre al Teatro Minimax la compagnia madrilena 4 Gatos Baixochan
porterà al festival un’altra prima nazionale: Paso Doble. Se la boxe fosse una danza, sarebbe il pasodoble, musica tradizionale spagnola danzata da una coppia, che accompagna le più importanti celebrazioni, di uno stile molto simile alla Marcia. Lo spettacolo trae ispirazione dal folklore spagnolo e dalla boxe e racconta di due danzatrici al limite delle loro capacità fisiche, in preda a un’altalena di stati emotivi.
Da sabato 9 novembre prende la parola la danza italiana, con spettacoli al Teatro
Auditorium Comunale.

Dopo il successo dello scorso anno torneranno da Spoleto Caterina Genta e Marco
Schiavoni, stavolta con una produzione di FIND, con lo spettacolo Las Rosas, un omaggio al grande poeta Federico García Lorca. Una performance di teatro-canzone resa in uno stile vicino al cabaret nordeuropeo, in cui musica, videografie e danza si intersecano in un mix inedito di linguaggi espressivi.

Domenica 10 novembre i riflettori si accenderanno su ASMED-Balletto di Sardegna e la
compagnia ADARTE che debutteranno con la coproduzione Elsa, dedicata alla grande stilista italiana Elsa Schiaparelli che rivoluzionò la storia della moda e del costume nella Parigi degli anni ’30. Lo spettacolo mostrerà al pubblico il rapporto di complicità che negli anni si è instaurato tra la danza, la moda e le arti figurative e sarà preceduto da un breve incontro con un noto critico di danza e giornalista.

Venerdì 15 novembre sarà dedicato uno spazio speciale all’arte teatrale con l’opera Lo scambio che il Teatro Barbaro porterà in prima nazionale. Doloroso racconto di una donna, interpretata da Maria Loi, che dopo anni di rimozioni, si ritrova inaspettatamente a fare i conti con il pesante fardello della sua traumatica infanzia.

Sabato 16 novembre Aton Dino Verga Danza, dopo il successo di pubblico dello scorso anno, tornerà sul palco di FIND con Kisetsu No Iro, nuova produzione realizzata in forma multidisciplinare sulle musiche di Tiziano Bedetti; un vero e proprio momento di incontro privilegiato tra diverse espressioni artistiche: la musica, la danza eccezionale dei performers, la poesia e la videoarte.

Domenica 17 novembre andrà in scena la Compagnia Francesca Selva, nuova
produzione della coreografa toscana, che affronta con una performance energica e accattivante il senso di amarezza derivato dalla caduta degli ideali e dai sogni irrealizzati.

Domenica 24 novembre la compagnia milanese Sanpapiè presenterà Io sono figlio,
pièce per tre danzatori che affronta interrogativi esistenziali in un mix inebriante e onirico di danza, musica e parole. Nel tentativo di comprendere il loro diritto di nascita, gli artisti si chiedono chi siamo e da dove veniamo.

Sabato 30 novembre, Zappalà Danza andrà in scena con uno spettacolo carico di intensità emotiva, Naufragio con spettatore, un lavoro sull’attualissimo tema dell’emigrazione/immigrazione e sul rapporto che noi bianchi/occidentali abbiamo nei confronti del popolo migrante. Molto suggestiva la voce del soprano, in una performance canora dal vivo, e il richiamo ad alcuni capolavori dell’arte pittorica e musicale.

Domenica 1 dicembre Versilia Danza presenta il solo di Angela Torriani Evangelista, Nel tempo di questo infinito minimo, una rilettura in chiave danzata delle opere dello scrittore toscano Antonio Tabucchi.

In chiusura del festival, domenica 8 dicembre, la compagnia sassarese Estemporada
presenta in prima nazionale Lo stato della materia. Una celebrazione della materia corporea che prende forma e diventa un gioco in cui il movimento, grazie alla forza, si espande creando molecole. Queste, attraverso l’energia diventano azione e danza.

Anche quest’anno saranno numerose le attività collaterali che faranno da cornice agli
spettacoli. Gli artisti delle compagnie ospiti terranno delle master class e dei laboratori in cui presenteranno le loro tecniche e processi creativi ai giovani studenti di danza. Opportunità di alta formazione unica e imperdibile.

FIND rinnova inoltre il suo interesse per i piccoli spettatori e le loro famiglie, proponendosi di avvicinare il pubblico delle nuove generazioni alla cultura della danza. La rassegna principale sarà infatti anticipata dalla mini rassegna del FIND Ragazzi, sei spettacoli di danza seguiti da un incontro creativo con i danzatori, rivolta alle scuole e ai giovanissimi.

Grande novità di quest’anno il festival/contest di video danza BREAKING 8, un concorso che mette a confronto i talenti creativi della danza e della macchina da presa di tutto il mondo, le cui opere circuiteranno presso i festival internazionali partners del progetto: AGITE y SIRVA (Puebla, Messico), CINEDANS (Amsterdam, Paesi Bassi), LOIKKA (Helsinky, Finlandia), DVDanza (L’Avana, Cuba), IMAGEN EN MOVIMIENTO (Bogota, Colombia), DANZA 1000 (Madrid, Spagna). Una giuria formata da quattro esperti di danza, cinema e videoarte si pronuncerà per decretare i video migliori. Il concorso sarà presentato il 3 novembre alle 19,30 presso il Teatro Minimax. I video in concorso saranno proiettati a partire dalle 20 ogni serata di spettacolo nei foyer dei teatri ospitanti.

ASMED and MAYA Inc., arrives at the thirty-first edition with a particularly dense program of shows and events, to propose new tones with its extraordinary openness to internationality , the plurality of artistic languages ​​and multimedia .

The public will be invited to explore with new eyes all the complex facets
dance of the universe , going beyond the pure aesthetic outcome , although not fail, in a process of investigation and reflection on the contents and artistic modalities used by different international and national artists hosts of the event to represent their view of the world . In a society where media such as television continue to shape the common sense , offering the same models artistic and aesthetic artificial and stereotyped , FIND 31, continues to pursue its mission, that the teacher Paola Leoni imprinted on that back in 1979 , when it introduced the art of contemporary dance in Sardinia : cast his eyes on the future , always see beyond and in

Beauty to open in the event Saturday, October 26 at the Teatro Massimo will be the
Belgian company Charleroi Danses , after having trod the scene of FIND in 1996 and 1997 , with performances Ex Machina and Moving Target , both directed by Frédéric Flamand , back in Sardinia with the first national Soleils , the latest work of artistic genius Pierre Droulers ‘ve been here before in 1997 with Les petites formes . Soleils debuted triumphantly to Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels and appears first as a research and exploration of the movement in relation to its joint with the element of Light. Several sources of inspiration drawn from Droulers : The melancholy verses of Emily Dickinson and Dylan Thomas incandescent ones , ancestral
pagan rituals and swirling Brazilian dances that create on stage a carnival of lights.

Friday, November 1 , again at the Teatro Massimo, will be the time of the Spanish
Compañía de Circus ” eia ” with the show Capas , where circus arts and live music mingle with dance. To the rhythm of rock drums and traditional songs , a giant closet and central opens showing its multiple layers , full of poetry and humor .

Sunday, November 3 at the Theatre Company Minimax Madrid 4 Gatos Baixochan
will lead to another first national festival : Paso Doble . If boxing was a dance , it would be the paso doble , traditional Spanish music danced by a couple, who accompanies the most important celebrations , a style very similar to the March . The show is inspired by the Spanish folklore and from boxing and tells the story of two dancers at the limit of their physical capabilities , in the throes of emotional seesaw .
From Saturday, November 9 takes the word the Italian dance , with performances at the Theatre
Municipal Auditorium .

After last year’s successful return from Spoleto Caterina Genta and Marco

Sunday, November 10 the spotlight will turn on ASMED – Ballet Sardinia and
AdArte company that will debut with the co Elsa , dedicated to the great Italian fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli who revolutionized the history of fashion and costume in Paris in the ’30s. The show will show the public the relationship of complicity which over the years has been established between the dance , fashion and the arts and will be preceded by a brief encounter with a well-known dance critic and journalist.

Friday, November 15th will be a special space dedicated to the art theater with the work that the exchange will lead in the first national theater Barbaro . Painful story of a woman , played by Maria Loi , who after years of repressions , finds himself unexpectedly to deal with the heavy burden of his traumatic childhood.

Saturday, November 16 Aton Dino Verga Danza , after the success of public last year, will return to the stage with FIND Iro No Kisetsu , new production realized in the form multidisciplinary Bedetti the music of Titian , a real key opportunity between different expressions arts : music , dance exceptional performers, poetry and video art.

Sunday, November 17 will be staged on the Company Francesca Selva , new
production of the choreographer Tuscan , which deals with an energetic performance and captivating sense of bitterness derived from the fall of the ideals and dreams unfulfilled .

Sunday, November 24 the Milan-based company Sanpapié present I am the son ,
act for three dancers facing existential questions in a heady mix and dream of dance, music and words. In an attempt to understand their birthright , the artists are wondering who we are and where we come from .

Saturday, November 30 , Zappala Danza will be staged with a show full of emotional intensity , Shipwreck with Spectator , a job sull’attualissimo theme of emigration / immigration and the relationship that we whites / Westerners have against the migrant people . The breathtaking soprano voice , in a live singing performance , and recall a number of masterpieces of painting and music .

Sunday, December 1 Versilia Dance presents the only Evangelist Angela Torriani , In the time of this infinite minimum , danced a reinterpretation of the works of Tuscan writer Antonio Tabucchi .

At the end of the festival, Sunday, December 8 , the company Sassari Estemporada
presents the first national state of matter. A celebration of corporeal matter that takes shape and becomes a game in which the movement , thanks to the strength , expands to create molecules. These , through the action and energy become dance.

This year will be numerous side events that will frame the
shows. The artists of guest companies will hold master classes and workshops that will present their techniques and creative processes to young dance students . Opportunities for higher education only and not to be missed .

FIND also renewed his interest in the young spectators and their families , seeking to bring the public closer to the culture of the new generation of dance. The main event will be in fact anticipated by the mini review of the FIND Boy, you’re dance performances followed by a creative meeting with the dancers , aimed at schools and young people.

Big news this year the festival / contest video dance BREAKING 8, a competition that compares the creative talents of dance and camera around the world , whose works circuiteranno at international festivals project partners : ACT y SIRVA (Puebla , Mexico) , CINEDANS (Amsterdam , Netherlands) , LOIKKA ( Helsinki , Finland ) , DVDanza ( Havana, Cuba) , IMAGEN EN MOVIMIENTO ( Bogota , Colombia ) , DANCING 1000 ( Madrid , Spain). A jury of four experts in dance, film and video art will vote to enact the best videos . The competition will be presented on 3 November at 19.30 at the Teatro Minimax . The videos will be screened in competition starting at 20 every evening show in the theater foyers host .
