Il terzo weekend di luglio,il 19 e 20 luglio 2014, per ricordare i marinai sfortunati dispersi nella zona di Capo Carbonara e invocare la protezione su quanti vanno per mare, si festeggia la statua della Madonna con una speciale messa al Porto. Il giorno dopo una suggestiva processione di barche ricoperte di fiori si reca all’Isola dei Cavoli, dove nel 1979 una statua della Vergine è stata deposta sul fondo del mare a protezione dei naviganti.

Una processione di barche si reca all’Isola dei Cavoli dove, sul fondo, davanti alla statua sommersa, viene recitata una preghiera subacquea. Sia il sabato che la domenica completano la festa spettacoli di canti, balli e assaggi di prodotti tipici.
