EXTRAORDINARY CONCERT ORCHESTRA OF OPERA OF CARBONIA – MONDAY JUNE 4 – 8:00 PM

Monday, June 4 to 20, in the picturesque setting of Monte Sirai Amphitheatre in Carbonia, takes the extraordinary concert of the Orchestra of the Opera, directed by Alessandro D’Agostini, the occasion of the Forum of National Selections of the Landscape Award of the Council 2008-2009 and 2010-2011 editions of Europe, held on 3, 4, 5 June 2012 in Carbonia, a city that, with the application “Carbonia: Landscape Machine”, representing Italy, winner of the prestigious award last 2011 edition.  The evening’s program, which features the music of Ennio Porrino stylish homage to the landscape of Sardinia, provides: Dreams of a Midsummer Night: Overture by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Sardinia, symphonic poem by Ennio Porrino, The Thieving Magpie: Symphony Gioachino Rossini.
