DOMENICA 2/11/2014  ESCURSIONE AL FIUME ROSSO-VERDE-ROSSO: IL RIO IRVI (ARBUS)

Il Rio Irvi scorre accanto alla strada che da Montevecchio conduce a Piscinas; all’altezza della località Casargiu il fiume diventa rosso e, poco oltre e per un tratto, verde, per poi riacquisire il colore rosso.

Per capire quali sono le cause, seguiremo questo singolare fenomeno dal vivo, camminando in un sentiero che ci condurrà fino alla spiaggia di Piscinas, dove faremo la sosta per il pranzo.

Ammireremo questo bellissimo ambiente nell’insolita veste della bassa stagione e potremmo (chissà!) incontrare i cervi che vivono numerosi in questo territorio.
L’escursione a piedi è semplice, non prevede dislivello, ma è bene indossare le scarpe da trekking.

Partenza dal parcheggio del Cimitero di Monserrato ore 7:30

The Rio Irvi runs next to the road that leads from Montevecchio Piscinas; at the locality Casargiu the river turns red and a little further and for a while, green, and then regain the color red.

To understand the causes, we will follow this singular phenomenon live, walking on a path that will lead us to the beach Piscinas, where we will stop for lunch.

We will admire this beautiful environment in the unusual role of the off-season and we could (who knows?) To meet the many deer that live in the area.
The hike is easy, does not require elevation gain, but it’s good to wear hiking boots.

Own car, packed lunch, drinking water.
