Muovendoci all’interno della foresta di Funtana Bona percorreremo la carrareccia che ci condurrà sino ai piedi del torrione calcareo di Monte Novo S. Giovanni, dalla cui cima si gode il panorama della catena montuosa del Supramonte e delle gole del rio Flunimeddu fino alle gole di Gorropu e alle pendici del Gennargentu. Facilmente si avvista l’aquila che ha nidificato nelle pareti scoscese del caratteristico “panettone”.

Il sito archeologico si trova sul monte Tiscali, una piccola montagna alta 518 m. Sulla sommità del monte si trova un’enorme dolina carsica all’interno della quale si trovano i resti del villaggio, costruito nel corso dell’Età Nuragica. Il percorso per raggiungerlo è piacevole e panoramico.

Sono necessari gli scarponi da trekking.

Moving inside the forest of Funtana Bona travel along the track that will lead us to the foot of the limestone tower of Monte Novo S. John, from where visitors can enjoy the view of the mountains of Supramonte and gorges of the Rio Flunimeddu up to the throats of Gorropu and the foot of Mt . Easily sighted the eagle has nested in the steep walls of the characteristic ” panettone ” .

The archaeological site is located on Mount Tiscali , a small mountain 518 m high . On the summit of the mountain is a huge sinkhole in which lie the remains of the village, built during the Age Nuragica . The path to reach it is pleasant and scenic.

You need hiking boots .
