Giovedì 28 febbraio, appuntamento speciale al Jambalaya, il jazz club della città.
Sul palco, il nuovo trio del batterista e compositore cagliaritano Gianrico Manca.
ELEMENTRIO è un progetto nato nel 2012, sulle orme della scena jazzistica newyorkese più innovativa (Chris Potter, Greg Ward, Mark Turner, Ambrose Akinmusire, Dave Binney), coniugando la sperimentazione alla lezione fondamentale del jazz e della musica afroamericana.
L’intento di ELEMENTRIO è creare una musica che esplori in maniera consapevole e profonda le innovazioni della poliritmia moderna associandole alle basi armoniche e melodiche che discendono dalla
grande storia del jazz, muovendosi nella direzione del jazz contemporaneo con una tendenza sonora “New York oriented”.

ELEMENTRIO is a project born in 2012, in the footsteps of the New York jazz scene’s most innovative (Chris Potter, Greg Ward, Mark Turner, Ambrose Akinmusire, Dave Binney), combining experimentation with fundamental lesson of jazz and Afro-American music.
The intent of ELEMENTRIO is to create a music that explores in a knowledgeable and profound innovations polyrhythm associating modern harmonic and melodic bases arising from
great history of jazz, moving in the direction of contemporary jazz with a tendency to sound “New York oriented”.
