La seducente Rossa passione del tango argentino torna a inondare con la sua carica di energia il cuore storico della città di Cagliari, dal 3 al 7 luglio 2013. Mentre l’estate entra nel vivo, è pronto ad aprirsi il sipario sul Rosso Tango Art Festival, la manifestazione che, giunta alla sesta edizione, si conferma attesissimo appuntamento per gli appassionati ballerini di tango della città e i numerosi ospiti che arriveranno nella nostra isola da tutto il mondo, grazie anche all’altissimo livello dei maestri argentini invitati.

Un Festival che nel panorama internazionale va ritagliandosi uno spazio di tutto rispetto, come conferma l’incremento di anno in anno del numero dei partecipanti, soprattutto per la scelta di puntare sulla qualità dell’offerta didattica, coinvolgendo nomi all’apice della popolarità e di indiscussa caratura artistica nel panorama del tango argentino mondiale. Quest’anno per la prima volta sul palco la dinamica stravaganza di una coppia tutta maschile, Martín Maldonado e Maurizio Ghella, mentre torna la forza interpretativa di Adrián Luppi e Paula Villarroel, che già lo scorso anno aveva conquistato il pubblico vincendo la prima edizione del concorso The Rising Stars. Ancora una volta, poi, il Rosso Tango Art Festival potrà fregiarsi della sofisticata perfezione di Sebastián Arce e Mariana Montes, considerati un po’ i padrini onorari (sarà questa la loro quinta partecipazione consecutiva), professionisti impeccabili e ricercatissimi, giovani eppure già a loro volta maestri di tanti altri ballerini oggi emergenti.

Marcia in più del Rosso Tango Art Festival, l’attrattiva turistica che la Sardegna da sola è in grado di esercitare, con le sue coste da cartolina, nell’immaginario da sogno dei vacanzieri di ogni parte del globo, e complice non di poco conto, l’incrementata offerta di collegamenti aerei diretti low cost con tante destinazioni straniere, europee ma non solo.

La manifestazione, ideata e realizzata dall’Associazione culturale Rosso, col patrocinio della Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, della Provincia e del Comune di Cagliari, Assessorati Cultura e Turismo, mantiene in primo piano l’obiettivo di vitalizzare il quartiere antico di Castello e portarne alla luce i suoi tesori nascosti, favorendo l’ospitalità diffusa dei turisti nei tanti ostelli e bed & breakfast, incastonati dietro facciate severe ed eleganti, che animano le sue viuzze e quelle dei vicini quartieri di Marina e Villanova, con l’idea di far diventare l’intero rione, quest’anno per cinque giorni, un teatro a cielo aperto, ricco di incontri e seducenti atmosfere.

Mercoledì 3 luglio: EL CORAZÓN AL SUR
Apertura del Festival con il concerto-spettacolo di tango “El corazón al Sur” dell’orchestra Contramilonga. Fabio Furia al bandoneon, Marcello Melis al pianoforte, Simone Soro al violino e Massimo Battarino al contrabbasso. Danzano sulle musiche i ballerini Juan Manuel Marchetti e Natalia Manca.
Al Rosso Tango Art Festival si presentano quest’anno con una superba formazione che ha riscosso successi in tutta Europa. I loro strumenti racconteranno del Sud della Pampa, che tanti argentini lasciarono per cercare la fortuna in città del Nord, a Buenos Aires; diranno del Sud come metafora della propria patria, del proprio Paese lontano e di cui è forte la nostalgia per le tante genti venute dall’Europa. Il sud, i suoi colori, i tratti emblematici di un popolo, quello argentino, specchio del mondo. Il Sud, la semplicità della sua gente, il sole, l’allegria e la festa. Il Sud verso cui tendere, idealmente, ad ogni passo di tango, dentro un abbraccio che avvicina e porta via, almeno per un po’ la nostalgia del cuore. Sessanta minuti al ritmo di alcuni tra i più bei brani di tango tradizionale, ripercorrendo la storia, da Rodriguez e Villoldo, fino a Troilo e Pugliese.
Dopo lo spettacolo seguirà milonga con le selezioni musicali di Masala.
