In occasione del Primo Marzo, Giornata Internazionale dei Diritti dei Migranti giunta in Italia alla sua IV edizione, Urban Aid, gruppo spontaneo di cittadini attivi, propone Diritti Ritratti, un rinnovato momento di informazione e riflessione per reagire contro l’esclusione, i respingimenti, il razzismo: una giornata di incontro per affermare la dignità dell’essere umano, il diritto alla libera circolazione, il valore del meticciato.

L’appuntamento di venerdì, 1 marzo 2013, prevede la presentazione della mostra fotografica “Sassari e i suoi migranti”, a cura dell’Associazione Demo Etno Antropologica (Ass.D.E.A.), e la proiezione del documentario “Mare chiuso” (2012), di Andrea Segre e Stefano Liberti, prodotto e distribuito da ZaLab (www.zalab.org – autori già del documentario “Come un uomo sulla terra”).

Diritti Ritratti quindi, come quelli incarnati dalle immagini delle persone migrate a Sassari, o come quelli ritiratisi tra le onde del Mediterraneo. Testimonianze dirette. Alcune familiari forse, altre sconosciute, che mettono in luce le violenze e le violazioni commesse dall’Italia ai danni di persone in cerca di protezione.

La mostra sarà esposta dal 1 marzo al 21 marzo, giorno in cui verrà realizzato un evento conclusivo con musica, letture a tema e un buffet multiculturale preparato da cuochi stranieri nelle cucine del Vecchio Mulino.

L’iniziativa è organizzata da Ass.D.E.A., in collaborazione con il Circolo Enogastronomico “Il Vecchio Mulino”. Hanno aderito il Comitato Provinciale ARCI, il Dipartimento Immigrati della CGIL Sassari, il Gruppo Emergency Sassari e le associazioni “Yakaar” e “Amico del Senegal Batti Cinque”.

RIGHTS PORTRAITS

On the occasion of the first of March, International Day of the Rights of Migrants arrived in Italy in its fourth edition, Urban Aid, spontaneous group of active citizens, proposes Rights Portraits, a renewed information and reflection time to react against exclusion, rejections, Racism: one-day meeting to affirm human dignity, the right to free movement, the value of the hybridization.

The date of Friday, March 1, 2013, provides for the submission of the photo exhibition “Sassari and its migrants”, organized by the Ethno-Anthropological Demo (Ass.DEA), and the screening of the documentary “Sea closed” (2012), by Andrea Segre and Stefano Liberti, produced and distributed by ZaLab (www.zalab.org – writers of the documentary “Like a man on earth”).

Portraits rights then, such as those embodied by the images of people migrated in Sassari, or those retired in the waves of the Mediterranean. Direct testimony. Some family perhaps, other unknown, highlighting the violence and violations committed by Italy against people seeking protection.

The exhibition will be on display from March 1 to March 21, the day on which it will be made a final event with music, readings and a themed buffet multicultural prepared by foreign chefs in the kitchens of the Old Mill.

The event is organized by Ass.DEA, in collaboration with the Food and Wine Club “The Old Mill”. Joined the Provincial Committee ARCI, the Department of Immigration CGIL Sassari, Sassari, the Group Emergency and associations “Yakaar” and “Friend of Senegal Five Beat.”
