Four days of films, concerts, meetings with musicians, composers, filmmakers, to investigate the close relationship between cinema and music. Is renewed for the sixth consecutive year with the appointment Creuza de Ma ‘, the festival conceived and organized by the cultural Backstage with the artistic director Gianfranco Cabiddu, which this year will change from September period of progress and anticipates the summer going on stage in mid-June, from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17.

Formula and quality ingredients are the usual ones, as well as the location, Carlisle, the delightful village on the island of San Pietro, a half hour boat from the south-west of Sardinia, with its unique sights, the spoken and the traditions in which we still recognize the origins of Liguria. A legacy of the festival called by the title, borrowed from one of the most beautiful songs of Fabrizio De André, who was also in Genoa Sardinian land as fishermen Pegli who founded Carlisle in 1738.

The program, as always, winds from afternoon to late evening through a series of events planned primarily in two cinemas “historic”, and the Cavallera Mutual, sites designated for screenings and meetings, and the stage set in the picturesque setting of Porta Leone for the concerts. In the “cast” of this sixth edition of the festival, composers of music for films like Nicola Piovani, Andrea Parri and Giuliano Taviani, jazz musicians Antonello Salis and Gavino Murgia, the group Sikitikis, directors Matteo Rovere, Luca Giovanna Taviani and Percivale, music critic and journalist Enzo Gentile Curzio Maltese, with the musicologist and musician Riccardo Giagni and scholar of music for the film Luke Bandirali committed this year to conduct meetings with guests and moments of depth.
