in occasione della Giornata Internazionale della Donna,
il Jambalaya è lieto di presentare un evento per coloro che preferiscono stare fuori dai tradizionali schemi commerciali (alcuni di dubbio gusto…) che si celebrano in questa ricorrenza.

Una cantante soprano, Caterina D’Angelo, un pianista, Andrea Mudu e la fioca luce di un abat-jour; ecco il salotto musicale ottocentesco in cui la musica dell’operetta, la romanza italiana, le arie liriche e la melodie francese, costituivano la colonna sonora del luogo, il salotto, ove s’incontravano i più bei nomi dell’aristocrazia e dell’alta borghesia, le cui donne, nel corso del secolo, andranno via via impegnandosi sempre più consapevolmente, tanto a livello civile e politico quanto sul versante delle prime riforme sociali.
È affascinante pensare che tutti i brani siano dedicati a donne e all’amore.

The Jambalaya is pleased to present an event for those who prefer to stay out of the traditional trade patterns (some of dubious taste …) that are celebrated during this event.

A soprano, Catherine D’Angelo, a pianist, Andrea Mudu and the dim light of a lamp, here is the nineteenth-century parlor music in which the music of the operetta, the Italian romance, the arias and melodies French, were the soundtrack of the place, the living room, where they met the most important names of the aristocracy and the upper middle class, whose women, in the course of the century, will be gradually engaging more and more consciously, both in the civil and political as on the side of the first social reforms.
