ABA PROJECT – HANIFE ANA – ORISTANO – THURSDAY OCTOBER,4

Thursday, October 4 at 20:30, the space of Oristano Hanife Ana hosts the second round of the fall season.
On stage, this second stage of the voyage of the ship Hanife, ABA ‘PROJECT in concert: Alessandro Cau “Sbiru” (percussion, objects) and Gianfranco Fedele (piano, live electronics).

Kaaba is a musical project area jazz that mixes various materials in a creative way and aims to evoke soundscapes, through the coexistence of two complementary approaches to music: a percuss
ivo / rumoristico, the other harmonic / melodic, disdain raids in another’s field of action – in the “free” in the arrangement impromptu improvisation as original compositions. All compositions were born in Sardinia, and this land bring the flavor in the aftertaste, along with the atmosphere of the folk music of various cultures of the Mediterranean.

The improvisations, partly based on the concept of tabula rasa and musical parameters proposed by Stefano Battaglia, refer to different periods of the history of African-American and European music to the cutting edge 900. Chains, bells, teapots, coffee grinders and many other objects, also built for the occasion, alongside more traditional tools, in a continuous and natural alternation of opposites.

To complete the picture, a discreet use of technological means, and some inserts of contemporary poetry (read by Savina Dolores Massa and Alessandro Melis).

The project was presented for the first time in April 2012 at the Teatro di Oristano Garau, for the occasion with the participation of Gavino Murgia on sax and vocals.

The show is reserved for members of the association Hanife Ana theater jazz. The cost of annual membership card 2012 is € 10. The performances of the season may provide a contribution of entry.
