Aba is a musical project area Jazz that mixes various materials in a creative way and seeks to evoke soundscapes through the coexistence of two complementary approaches to music: a percussive / noisy, the other harmonic / melodic, disdain raids in another’s scope. All compositions were born in Sardinia, and bring the flavor of this land in the aftertaste, along with the atmosphere of the folk music of various cultures of the Mediterranean. The improvisations, in part based on the concepts of tabula rasa and musical parameters proposed by Stefano Battaglia, refer to different periods in the history of black music and European avant-garde up to 900. Chains, bells, pots, grinders and many other objects, also made ​​for the occasion, alongside more traditional tools, in a continuous and natural alternation of opposites.
