43 anni fa il mondo perdeva per sempre Jimi Hendrix, uno dei più grandi chitarristi che abbiano solcato il pianeta terra. In occasione di questa ricorrenza di cui si sarebbe ovviamente fatto volentieri a meno, il K-Lab ospiterà RMG UNIT, trio cagliaritano composto da Rubens Massidda ( voce e chitarra ), Mauro Mulas ( organo, fender rhodes e moog ) e Gianrico Manca ( batteria ). La band, in pista già da qualche mese, presenterà materiale estratto dal grande songbook di Jimi ma completamente riarrangiato dai tre musicisti.
Il tutto è parecchio lontano dal concetto di cover e molto vicino alla rilettura e esplorazione personale di un opera musicale davvero ineguagliabile.

On the occasion of this anniversary that should have obviously done without the K-Lab will host RMG UNIT, Cagliari trio composed of Rubens Massidda (vocals and guitar), Mauro Mulas (organ, Fender Rhodes and moog) and Gianrico Manca (battery ). The band, on the track a few months ago, will present material extracted from the great songbook of Jimi but completely rearranged by the three musicians.
The whole thing is quite a ways away from the concept of cover and very close to the reading and exploration of a musical work truly unique.
