Ogni anno non manca occasione per festeggiare Basstation. Il pubblico delle grandi occasioni, il calore speciale che avvolge nuovi e vecchi affezionati con un unico denominatore: artisti locali ed un grande nome della storia della techno.
Questa volta però sembra che tutto sia più significativo, se si pensa che la storia del luogo s’intreccia con una storia più grande. JUAN ATKINS è un nome inconfondibile per chi ha a cuore il genere techno, definito senza dubbio “il creatore del genere” seguito da Derrick May e Kevin Saunderson, più volte definiti come il trio di Belleville.
Juan Atkins è uno dei tre dj afroamericani di Detroit con la passione per Mojo, la disco italiana, il suono dei Kratfwerk e l’anima nera che ha dato vita a quella che il critico musicale Simon Reynolds definisce come l’ultima vera rivoluzione musicale dopo il punk: la techno.
Membro dei Cybotron, con cui nel 1981  realizza la prima traccia “Alleys of your mind”, poi dei Model500 di “No Ufo’s”, attestato nel 1985 come primo singolo techno e ancora con il proprio nome ed una lunga serie di pseudonimi su Metroplex, Tresor, R&S, giusto per citarne qualcuna. Un percorso non solo creativo, musicale ma anche sociale, che dipinge lo scenario della crisi industriale a Detroit, riprendendo le formulazioni della “Terza Ondata” di Alvin Toffler, nel quale il futuro è in mano ai “tecno-rinnegati della società”.

Una storia lunga tre decadi, che continua a rapire generazione dopo generazione, rappresentata in questo evento speciale da una figura simbolo, in grado creare intorno a questo appuntamento tutta l’attesa del caso. Un giorno, dopo 8 anni, che lascia il segno nella strada dell’organizzazione, che ha fatto della techno un punto di riferimento continuo, e solido argomento della storia della musica in Sardegna.

Insieme a lui CLAUDIO PRC, FEDON aka ANDREA FERLIN & MEZMERIC, ACIRNE & CHERRY BAKER, amici ed artisti scelti per rinnovare la presenza di Basstation nella storia musicale dell’isola.

Each year, not missing an opportunity to celebrate Basstation. The public for special occasions, the special warmth that surrounds new and old aficionados with a common denominator: local artists and a big name in the history of techno.
But this time everything seems to be more meaningful, if you think that the history of the place is interwoven with a larger story. JUAN ATKINS is a unique name for those who care about the techno genre, called “no doubt the creator of the” followed by Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, often referred to as the trio of Belleville.
Juan Atkins is one of three African-American Detroit DJ with a passion for Mojo, the Italian disc, the sound of Kratfwerk and the black soul that has given rise to what the music critic Simon Reynolds defines as the last musical revolution after the punk techno.
Member of Cybotron, which in 1981 made the first track “Alleys of Your Mind”, then the Model500 of “No UFO’s”, came out in 1985 as the first single techno and even with your name and a long series of pseudonyms on Metroplex, Tresor, R & D, just to name a few. A path is not only creative, but also social music, which depicts the scenario of the industrial crisis in Detroit, taking the formulations of the “Third Wave” by Alvin Toffler, in which the future is in the hands of the “techno-renegades of society.”

A history spanning three decades, which continues to abduct generation after generation, represented in this special event by a symbolic figure, able to create around this event all the waiting of the case. One day, after 8 years, leaving their mark on the way the organization, which has made a techno benchmark continuous and solid argument in the history of music in Sardinia.

With him CLAUDIO PRC, FEDON aka ANDREA FERLIN & MEZMERIC, Acirne & CHERRY BAKER, friends and artists chosen to renew the presence of Basstation in the musical history of the island.
