In China! In China! In China! Seem distant relatives of the three sisters of Chekhov … Yet are three decadent and decayed great lord (or gentlemen?) Autoesiliate in Siberia from which they can not get out, besieged by hungry wolves … I’m Irina, the mother and Mrs. Garbo, all in running toward something, in a kaleidoscopic delirium camp.

The homosexual or difficulty of expression is one of the most overwhelming Copi’s text, which in the guise of Mrs. Garbo has staged in Paris in 1971, directed by Jorge Lavelli.

Comedy is a inexhaustible welter of plot twists that every time completely changes all references, starting with the sexual. And ‘the triumph of transgender and psychedelic delirium, exploding in a biting comedy. Laughter of horrible things, and the world adrift represented in that hut in the desert increasingly resembles our world disrupted.

The wacky story of Irina and Mother in the desert, always about to leave for another place that does not exist, while receiving a visit from people like them without an identity and a final sex, is a real ride in the wildest dreams, that multiplies the comedy Copy to describe the smile wounded humanity of our times. Humanity where “the difficulty of expression” has the image atrocious mutilation: physical, human, social.
To bring back the work of Copi is Andrea Adriatico, director of film and theater (remember the recent The Sunset Limited by Cormac McCarthy and Business rooms separated by Pier Vittorio Tondelli), who returns to the phantasmagoric writing of the writer and cartoonist Franco-Argentine, who died of AIDS in 1987, after having conducted over the years The fridge and the four twins.
