L’apertura ufficiale del Festival avverrà il 24 giugno alle 21,15 nello spazio all’aperto del Quadrilatero.

In concorso quest’anno ci sono 155 cortometraggi tra fiction, animazioni, documentari, video arte e genere sperimentale, selezionati tra gli 855 pervenuti, per complessive 40 ore di proiezione.

Dalla Cina alla Finlandia, dal Brasile a Israele. Arrivano da ogni angolo del pianeta, formando un elenco di nazioni che si dilunga fino a cinquantasette. In tutto quasi mille cortometraggi che i selezionatori hanno ridotto a centocinquanta.

Tutte le proiezioni, a ingresso libero, saranno suddivise in due momenti: di pomeriggio nelle aule, di sera nello spazio all’aperto. Il concorso si articola come sempre per categorie: Fiction, Documentario, Animazione, Sperimentale, Scuola, Vetrina Sardegna, Video Arte. Quest’anno, però, molte giornate saranno dedicate a argomenti specifici. Molti dei film in concorso, infatti, pur provenendo da Paesi lontani tra loro, condividono problematiche comuni. Così gli spettatori potranno fare delle full immersion in temi che variano dall’animazione (Notte animata, mercoledì 26) a temi d’attualità riguardanti le donne (giovedì 27) a problemi dell’infanzia negata e del lavoro (venerdì 28). Tra i corti sicuramente da non perdere, lo svizzero “Dream Girl”, selezionato a Berlino e l’iraniano “More Than Two Hours”, in nomination a Cannes per la Palma D’Oro. Per la sezione animazione da ricordare “Il mondo sopra la testa” dell’oristanese Peter Marcias e “Preti” di Astutillo Smeriglia, tra i candidati all’ultimo David di Donatello. Nella serata conclusiva sarà invece presente il regista sassarese Bonifacio Angius con un’anticipazione del suo ultimo lungometraggio, “Perfidia” (girato tutto in città). Il festival ospiterà inoltre un convegno dal titolo “Gli stati generali del cinema in Sardegna” con registi, attori, produttori, distributori, maestranze.

Quest’anno il festival avrà un “secondo tempo” dal 22 al 24 agosto a Villanova Monteleone, nuovo sponsor e partner del SFF, per la prima edizione del Premio Villanova Monteleone dedicato ai documentari.

Tra gli eventi collaterali, il Sardinia Film Festival ospita un convegno su “Gli stati generali del cinema in Sardegna” (28-29 giugno) al quale parteciperà un’ampia rappresentanza di lavoratori del settore, insieme a registi conosciuti come Enrico Pau, Peter Marcias, Bonifacio Angius, Marco Antonio Pani.

Un’altra collaborazione del Sardinia Film Festival è quella con l’associazione Carta Giovani. Anche l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Sassari, insieme all’Università, quest’anno è tra gli sponsor del festival. Proprio il direttore dell’Accademia, Antonio Bisaccia, e il docente di Storia dello spettacolo, di Storia del Cinema e del Video, Vincenzo Boscarino, formeranno la giuria ufficiale del festival, insieme all’esperta di arti visive Adriana Casu.filmfestival

So viewers can make full immersion in topics ranging from animation (Animated Night, Wednesday 26) to topical issues concerning women (Thursday 27) to the problems of childhood and denied the job (Friday 28). Among the shorts definitely not to be missed, the Swiss “Dream Girl”, which was selected in Berlin and the Iranian “More Than Two Hours”, nominated for the Cannes Palme d’Or. For the animation section to remember “The world over the head” dell’oristanese Peter Marcias and “priests” of Astutillo Sands, one of the last candidates David di Donatello. On the final evening will instead present the director Sassari Bonifacio Angius with a preview of his latest feature film, “Perfidia” (shot entirely in the city). This year’s festival will have a “second time” 22 to 24 August in Villanova Monteleone, new sponsors and partners of the SFF for the first edition of the Villanova Monteleone dedicated to documentaries.
