LA SARDEGNA DI HARDY MERTENS – MONASTIR – SABATO 12 GENNAIOTHE SARDINIA OF HARDY MERTENS – MONASTIR – SATURDAY JANUARY 12

Un concerto dedicato totalmente ad Hardy Mertens e ai suoi brani scritti per la nostra terra, in programma il 12 gennaio 2013, alle ore 18, nell’Auditorium del Conservatorio di Cagliari.

Un evento nato in collaborazione con la Provincia di Cagliari, Presidenza del Consiglio Provinciale di Cagliari, l’Assessorato alla Cultura, Sport, Spettacolo del Comune di Monastir e il Conservatorio “G.P. Da Palestrina” di Cagliari.

Attraverso la musica del compositore e direttore olandese Hardy Mertens è possibile assaporare il tipico stile della musica del mediterraneo: l’ospitalità, la natura del cibo, il vino e l’orgoglio nazionale. In particolar modo in ‘Xenia Sarda’ è possibile scorgere la natura e cultura sarda, impressioni che lo stesso autore ha tradotto in musica attraverso la sua esperienza diretta in Sardegna.

Il concerto sarà diretto dal M° Alessandro Cabras e dal M° Hardy Mertens e vedrà la presenza del compositore olandese Hardy Mertens, del solista M°Corrado Colliard e del soprano sardo Barbara Crisponi.

Ha studiato musicologia all’università statale di Utrecht (Paesi Bassi), discutendo una tesi di laurea sulla situazione delle bande in Olanda. Ha diretto molte bande e fanfare in Olanda ed all’estero prima di guidare formazioni prestigiose come la banda della Philips e la banda della polizia olandese. Dal 1990 è regolarmente invitato come direttore ospite della Singapore Wind Symphony. Le sue opere si inseriscono nel solco della tradizione orchestrale occidentale ma sono fortemente influenzate dalla tradizione popolare di diversi continenti. Tonalità tradizionale, linee melodiche distese e patterns ritmici si combinano spesso con scherzi musicali e suoni non usuali. Questa complessità sfocia spesso in un alto grado di difficoltà esecutiva, che talvolta crea malintesi con direttori e musicisti.

Alessandro Cabras

Si è diplomato in Tromba al Conservatorio “G. Pierluigi da Palestrina” di Cagliari, sotto la guida del M° Enzo Morandini. Ha svolto attività professionale presso l’orchestra della Fondazione Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. Dal 1998 al 2003 ha diretto la Banda Musicale “G. Verdi” di Sant’Andrea Frius, con la quale ha conseguito il primo premio in terza categoria al 4° Concorso Nazionale per Bande Musicali “La Bacchetta d’Oro” nel 2000. Gli viene affidata la direzione artistica della Banda Musicale Monastir nel 2001. Segue la direzione della banda con cui raggiunge una serie di traguardi importanti tra cui il 1° posto nella terza categoria alla IX edizione del Concorso Nazionale Bandistico musicale “La Bacchetta d’Oro†di Frosinone, e il Premio dell’Unione Musicale Ciociara “Benito Pica†per il miglior punteggio tra tutte le categorie (2006). Nel 2012, conquista il 1° posto nella seconda categoria, al XIV Concorso Internazionale Musicale “Il Flicorno d’Oro” di Riva Del Garda e facendo classificare la banda in seconda posizione assoluta tra tutte le bande partecipanti alla competizione europea.
Corrado Colliard

Ha frequentato gli studi presso l’Istituto Musicale di Aosta si diploma in trombone nel 1983. Frequenta i corsi di perfezionamento tenuti dal Maestro Vinko Globokar presso la Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, vincendo, nel 1986, una borsa di studio per merito. Si perfeziona in seguito con Jacques Mauger, presso l’accademia “Lorenzo Perosi” di Biella. Vincitore di numerosi concorsi sia in formazioni cameristiche sia come solista. Nel 1992 il primo premio assoluto al Concorso Internazionale di Stresa, (sez. Gli Strumenti nell’Avanguardia Musicale) eseguendo in duo musiche di Vinko Globokar. Hanno scritto per lui diversi compositori contemporanei: Sanson, Hirano, Barbera, Manfrin, Jappelli, Jacopucci.
Barbara Crisponi

Diplomata in canto con il soprano Elisabetta Scano, ha seguito masterclasses tenuti dai soprani Giusy Devinu, Katia Ricciarelli e Montserrat Caballé. Ha studiato inoltre con Marcella De Osma, Beatrice Murtas, Ivo Vinco e Giovanna Damian. Consegue il diploma di pianoforte e il diploma accademico di II livello come Pianista Accompagnatore, col massimo dei voti, presso il Conservatorio “Pierluigi da Palestrina†di Cagliari.

 

A concert dedicated entirely to Hardy Mertens and his songs written for our land, to be held January 12, 2013, at 18, in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Cagliari.

An event created in collaboration with the Province of Cagliari, Cagliari Presidency of the Provincial Council, the Department of Culture, Sport, Entertainment of the City of Monastir and the Conservatory “GP Da Palestrina” of Cagliari.

Through the music of Dutch composer and conductor Hardy Mertens is possible to taste the typical style of the music of the Mediterranean hospitality, the nature of the food, wine and national pride. Especially in ‘Xenia Sarda’ you can see the nature and culture of Sardinia, impressions that the author has translated into music through his direct experience in Sardinia.

The concert will be conducted by Maestro Alessandro Cabras and Maestro Hardy Mertens and will be attended by the Dutch composer Hardy Mertens, the soloist Maestro Corrado Colliard and soprano Barbara Sardinian Crisponi.

He studied musicology at the State University of Utrecht (Netherlands) discussing a thesis on the situation of the bands in the Netherlands. He has directed many bands and brass bands in the Netherlands and abroad before driving formations prestigious as the bandwidth of Philips and the bandwidth of the Dutch police. Since 1990, he is regularly invited as a guest conductor of the Singapore Wind Symphony. Alessandro Cabras

He graduated in trumpet at the Conservatory “G. Pierluigi da Palestrina” of Cagliari, under the guidance of Enzo Morandini.
