Con partenza da Sassari ( in coincidenza con il treno da Alghero ) oggi andiamo a Bortigiadas : partendo da Perfugas, si percorre un lungo tratto in pianura nella valle del Coghinas. Da qui la strada affronta una rapida salita superando pendenze, oltre il 25 per mille, fra gallerie e opere di alta ingegneria ferroviaria di granito rosso e grigio. Fra le più importanti, la galleria elicoidale di Bortigiadas, a forma di chiocciola, grazie alla quale il treno supera un dislivello di circa 70/80 metri percorrendo due ellisse di circa 1000 metri all’interno del monte.

11,00 – Arrivo a Perfugas ( sosta tecnica per consentire la salita e discesa dei viaggiatori )

trasferimento ( possibilità con bus navetta ) presso la Chiesa campestre di San Rocco dove a cura del ristorante Golden Gate gusteremo un pranzo a base di pesce .. per festeggiare l’estate

La Chiesa si trova nei pressi del fiume Coghinas, sulla sponda gallurese, in località Scala Ruja. L’Angius, nell’800 la descriveva così: “bella chiesuola entro un boschetto di lecci, soveri e lentischi, in cui si fa una festa popolare con pubblico gratuito pranzo agli accorrenti”. La struttura architettonica è quella tipica delle chiese galluresi, semplice ed armonica allo stesso tempo, risale al XVIII secolo, forse su un impianto precedente.

Departing from Sassari (in connection with the train from Alghero) Today we are going to Bortigiadas: starting from Perfugas, descending a long, flat stretch in the valley of Coghinas. From here the road faces a steep climb overcoming slopes, over 25 per thousand, between high tunnels and railway engineering of red and gray granite. Among the most important, the gallery helical Bortigiadas, snail-shaped, through which the train passes a drop of about 70/80 meters along two ellipse of about 1000 meters inside the mountain.

The Church is located near the river Coghinas, on the shore of Gallura, in Scala Ruja. The Angius, 800 described it thus: “beautiful little church within a grove of oaks, cork oaks and mastic, which is a popular festival with free public accorrenti to lunch.” The architectural structure is typical of Gallura churches, simple and harmonious at the same time, dates back to the eighteenth century, perhaps on an existing.
