9° EDIZIONE FESTIVAL DELLE PRO LOCO – SESTU – 5-6 OTTOBRE 20139th EDITION PRO LOCO FESTIVAL – SESTU – OCTOBER 5 TO 6

Il 5 e 6 ottobre 2013 ritorna il Festival delle Pro Loco con la sua 9° edizione a Sestu in località San Gemiliano con inizio per entrambe le serate alle ore 19.

La manifestazione nasce dalla constatazione del ruolo che le Pro Loco hanno assunto – forti della loro componente volontaristica – e che oggi maggiormente, sono chiamate a svolgere, nei propri territori di competenza.

Esse contribuiscono attivamente allo sviluppo e a una sensibilizzazione della popolazione sul fenomeno turistico e artigianale per favorire la valorizzazione ambientale e incentivare l’utilizzo delle risorse locali. Obiettivi comuni perseguiti anche dagli Assessorati alla Cultura, Tradizioni Popolari e Turismo del nostro Comune. Promuovere ricerche sugli usi , costumi, tradizioni e attività artigianali. Riscoprire antiche usanze e mestieri e riproporle per meglio farle conoscere, sempre nel rispetto delle proprie peculiarità, ad un vasto pubblico in forme sempre nuove e originali.

Si terrà conto in particolare della riscoperta delle tradizioni culturali e gastronomiche, delle lavorazioni artigianali presenti nella nostra comunità, nell’ottica di una loro favorevole integrazione nel mondo produttivo e commerciale. Con questa iniziativa s’intende promuovere e diffondere il prodotto artigianale sestese, il quale emerge in modo sempre più preponderante attraverso nuove, moderne e fantasiose forme di artigianato che, pur nate come sotterranee passioni, meritano di essere valorizzate con fine di sviluppare nuove forme di occupazione e/o sbocchi professionali.

Il Raduno si terrà in “San Gemiliano”. La scelta di tale luogo e determinata dalla suggestiva posizione e dalla conformazione delle “Lollas”della cinta muraria che circonda la chiesetta campestre, idonee a ospitare le Pro Loco. Cogliamo inoltre
l’opportunità di collaborazione offertaci dalle Associazioni operanti presso la località e dalle stesse autorità Parrocchiali.On 5 and 6 October 2013 returns to the Festival of Pro Loco with its 9th edition in Sestu in San Gemiliano for both evenings starting at 19.

They contribute actively to the development and awareness of the population on the phenomenon of tourism and crafts to promote the environmental and encourage the use of local resources. Common objectives pursued also by the Departments of Culture, Tourism and Popular Traditions of our town. Promote research on the habits, customs, traditions and crafts. Rediscover ancient customs and crafts and propose them to better know them, always in accordance with its peculiarities, to a wide audience in ever new and original.

It will take particular account of the rediscovery of cultural and gastronomic traditions, of craftsmanship in our community, with a view to their integration into favorable manufacturing and commercial. This initiative is meant to promote and spread the handmade product Sesto, which emerges in a more and more important through new, modern and imaginative forms of craft which, though born as underground passions, they deserve to be enhanced with a view to developing new forms of employment and / or job opportunities.

The Meeting will be held in “San Gemiliano.” The choice of this location is determined by the striking position and the shape of the “Lollas” the wall which surrounds the little country church that will suit the Pro Loco. We’d also like
the collaborative opportunities were offered by the Associations operating in the town and parish authorities themselves.
