L’edizione del Mediterraneo Film Festival 2012 doveva dare un segnale di innovazione rispetto alle precedenti.
Cercammo allora di proporre un calendario che potesse, in varie e differenti forme, raccontare quanto accadeva nel Mediterraneo, focalizzando l’esperienza sul punto di vista femminile.
Fu occasione per incontrare tante artiste con sguardo lucido e profondo, come Leila Kilani, e attrici di richiamo pronte a credere in progetti a basso budget come Isabella Ragonese.
Ripartire da quella esperienza entusiasmante e vincente non è stato facile ma molto esaltante.
In due anni i temi dei nostro festival, il LAVORO e la MIGRAZIONE, declinati attraverso il CINEMA, sono stati temi centrali in uno dei momenti più difficili per il bacino mediterraneo.
La crisi economica ha colpito tutti indiscriminatamente sulle sponde del Mare Nostrum, nelle terre del Maghreb il seme della rivolta è divampato tra sangue e orgoglio, alimentando ancor di più i fenomeni migratori. Gli italiani come molti altri popoli, si sono ritrovati sempre più poveri, spesso senza lavoro e senza la speranza.
Il percorso cinematografico che proponiamo con l’Edizione 2014 è figlio di tutto ciò. Volutamente libero da scelte preimpostate, vagabondo per necessità . Voglioso di mostrare, in pochi giorni, quanto più possibile tutto ciò che accade tra di noi, attorno a noi. A noi.
Attraverseremo città impersonali che producono alienazione, rideremo delle tragicomiche soluzioni all’impietoso precariato italiano, vivremo tra giovani sassaresi alle prese col vuoto che li circonda e che troppo facilmente riecheggia in tutta la Sardegna.
Viaggeremo lungo le coste del Mediterraneo per capire i fuochi ribelli che la Crisi alimenta ogni giorno, andremo alla ricerca della memoria in terra slava, per capire il dramma della guerra che ancora una volta sembra poter incendiare l’est europeo, saliremo su una gru, da operai, come troppo spesso accade in tutta Italia, per cercare di capire come sia stato possibile arrivare fino a qui.
E, infine, partiremo al seguito di un corteo nuziale surreale che ci racconterà il dramma della migrazione.

Mediterraneo FilmFestivalThe edition of the Mediterranean Film Festival 2012 was to give a signal of innovation compared to previous ones.
We tried then to propose a timetable that could, in various different forms, tell what happened in the Mediterranean, focusing the experience on the female point of view.
It was an opportunity to meet with many artists look shiny and deep, as Leila Kilani, actresses and return ready to believe in low-budget projects like Isabella Ragonese.
Starting afresh from that experience exciting and winning was not easy but very exciting.
In two years the themes of our festival, WORK and MIGRATE, declined through the CINEMA, were central themes in one of the most difficult moments for the Mediterranean basin.
The economic crisis has affected everyone indiscriminately on the shores of the Mare Nostrum, the lands of the Maghreb the seed of revolt broke out between blood and pride, fueling more migration. Italians like many other people, found themselves increasingly poor, often without work and without hope.
The route that we propose film with the 2014 edition is the son of everything. Deliberately free of preset choices, tramp necessity. Eager to show, in a few days, as much as possible everything that happens between us, around us. To us.
Cross impersonal city that produce alienation, the tragicomic laugh solutions all’impietoso Italian insecurity, we will live among young Sassari grappling with the emptiness that surrounds them and that too easily echoes throughout the island.
We will travel along the shores of the Mediterranean to see the fireworks that the rebels Crisis feeds every day, we will go in search of the memory in the Slavic earth, to understand the tragedy of war that once again seems to ignite Eastern Europe, will go up on a crane, by workers, as too often happens in Italy, to try to understand how it was possible to get this far.
And finally, we leave in the wake of a wedding procession that will tell us the surreal drama of migration.
