E ‘of the city as dreams: everything imaginable can be dreamed, but even the most unexpected dream is a rebus that conceals a desire or its reverse, a fear. Cities like dreams are made of desires and fears.

By Caprices Piranesi to impossible architecture of Esher, the utopian city of St. Elias the visionary projects of Rem Koolhaas experimentalism design in architecture, on the border between reality and invention beyond physical and structural constraints, is an indispensable reference for investigating new formats and procedures to record social and cultural changes. In particular, the designed architecture is configured still a critical tool and research to develop novel spatial configurations, interpreting behaviors and lifestyles.

Architectural Writing Narratives, a project supported by Marcellino Congiu Michele Garau, edited by Roberta Vanali in collaboration with the Association of Babel, architectural features 11 stories whose central theme is decreed places to sociality in their many forms: small museums , pub for daily meetings, exhibition spaces in new contexts. The term narrative refers to the language of synthetic images that provide only some elements of spatial organization, leaving indefinite component in which are placed interpretations and personal feelings. Each drawing is accompanied by a brief description and an electroacoustic composition trying to express, through sound, the same design intent. The drawings are preceded by a photographic exhibition to represent the ideas that are the basis of linguistic research that characterizes the serial imaginary architecture.

At a date yet to be determined Carla Deplano Association (Babel) will present the catalog “Architectural Writing Narratives” in the Conference Room dell’EXMA ‘.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Consortium Camu and sponsored by the City of Cagliari.

Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 13 and from 16 to 20, closed on Mondays
