LA PICCIONAIA – The CARRARA – User actor

a project by Laura Curino, Titino Carrara

and the help of Giorgia Antonelli
After “Road Carrara” Titino Carrara brings to the stage a new history of life and theater.
In the second episode of his fresco scene is the theme of apprenticeship, how to become adults with disabilities and actors, such as gaining an identity and a role recognized by the family of art and the audience. The Masters of the mobile theater academy do not make school stage, a different show every day: “Permanent Laboratory” … maybe on a stage mounted between the walls chipped in an old cinema bombed. The post-war Italy, an Italy destroyed, but in the ferment of reconstruction, on stage and off stage. And then here is a gallery of these people coming from far and far ranging, irreverent and unbearably poetic, each of which leaves a shred of secrecy, the piece of a puzzle that the apprentice will be given the task to reconcile. In the meantime, a whole world slowly dissolves, disappears, disappearing as the fireflies that Pasolini says, leaving not only memories and nostalgia, but also live betting secrets and still question us.

Saturday, November 24

To 20.00:

• Aperogliastra. Gastronomic journey among the scents and flavors of the lands of Ogliastra

At 21.15:

CADA DIE THEATRE – Welcome to …

Alessandro Mascia and Pierpaolo Piludu

based on the book “Welcome to Psychiatry” by Giovanni Casula
stage Alessandro Mascia and Giorgio Del Rio
original music by Giorgio Del Rio
John lights Schirru
directed by Pierpaolo Piludu
“Welcome to …” is a human witness, an immersion in a physical discomfort, in which John and Nino, the characters of the show, make us discover solitude, beauty and humanity. Emotions that are revealed only when we are close, when we do not build barriers, when the first step is intended to be understood.
Some years ago, John Casula asked me to tell some stories from his experience as Educator within the Psychiatry Service at Holy Trinity Hospital of Cagliari. At the end of 2011 have made me a manuscript, a future book, in which he told not only fragments of intense humanity of individual patients, but also surprises, empathy, and the beauty of distortion, he had seen and met since he was began his work as an educator. I found myself in his amazement. I seemed to feel the joy, the pain, the enthusiasm in the work.
I remembered when, in 1982, the beginning of my theatrical experience, I had the good fortune to work as an animator volunteer first-hand experience in Sardinia for the actual application of the reform Basaglia. It was the first step on the path of Villa Clara closure of the Psychiatric Hospital of Cagliari, under the guidance and the passionate attention of clinicians as Alexander Montixi. Of that experience I always carried with me, not so much suffering, how much enthusiasm I had whenever I walked through the gate of that place. (Alessandro Mascia)
