From Holland arrive at the Fabrik in Cagliari Otis, quintet stoner / punk with great impact and great experience on stages throughout Europe. Play Thursday 25 October together with Cagliaritani Blacktones.

Three weeks after the last appointment with the stoner rock / international, who had seen the Austrian groups Far Away Town and Dirt Deflector make a stop on the island for two concerts in Cagliari and Sassari, the agency Monolithix proposes another international band, Dutch Otis. The stage will once again be one of the Fabrik in Cagliari and support the Dutch band will be Blacktones Cagliari, quartet stoner / metal newly formed but already a disc and several live performances. The concert will begin promptly at 21:30: is a policy of the organizers and in particular Monolithix to make sure that the concerts, especially on weekdays, begin and end early to give an opportunity to the general public to be present.

The OTIS is a Dutch group, formed in 2005, and their sound is the result of their passion for punk and metal, a noise-rock groove made from rough and powerful singing and screaming in punk style. In 2006, they made a split album with the Daily Fire, and a year later they released their first album “Good cop, bad mood”, well reviewed by the trade press who compared the quintet Dutch bands like Helmet, At The Drive-In, Refused, Fugazi, Melvins and Black Flag. In 2009, Otis bring out a limited edition cassette on another split with the band The Unborn for Brainwreck Records. In 2009, the Dutch band also publishes second album “Storm is Coming”: the lyrics of this album are based on the 1871 poem “Le Bateau Ivre” (The Drunken Boat) of the “accursed poet” Arthur Rimbaud. It is a work record flavor more complex and elaborate than “Good cop …”, but it is also very well reviewed in the press. In 2011, her third album the band split, this time with the group Greyline, entitled “Epidemic Of The Forked Tongue”: 4 pieces where the Dutch band also experienced the use of Hammond organ and strings. From this split was the first single “A few days short of a new winter”, accompanied by a beautiful video. Retired for a week in a cottage in the countryside of the Dordogne in France, Otis has written ten songs that will be part of their third album.

In their career, Otis played hundreds of concerts throughout Europe, participating in festivals such as Incubated and ZXZW open and major concerts for bands such as Kylesa world-class, Fucked Up, Baroness and Dillinger Escape Plan.

The Blacktones born in Cagliari in March 2011 as a band instrument by Sergio Boi (guitar) and Gianni Farci (bass). After a few concerts, the line-up stabilized with the arrival of Maurice Walls on drums (also in force in Elepharmers), and Simone Utzeri the item. The style of Blacktones is deeply influenced by metal, by stoner and grunge, and in particular characterized by polyrhythmic elements, their most of modern metal, post-grunge rock and the sludge. The sound of the four is gloomy, melancholy melodies transpire and distress, and then make room for riffs and grooves granite. In June 2012 they released their first EP “Distorted Reality”, completely self-produced. Currently Blacktones are playing throughout the island to offer their work and are writing new material
