ALLA SCOPERTA DI STAMPACE E DEI SUOI SOTTERRANEI

Con aneddoti e curiosità riscopriremo la storia e i luoghi del quartiere storico di Stampace osservando il suo cambiamento nell’ultimo secolo, l’evolversi delle architetture e il nuovo assetto urbano, percorrendo le sue strette vie e visitando i suggestivi luoghi di culto, l’anfiteatro e i palazzi antichi e moderni.
Un percorso affascinante che include la città sotterranea che ancora oggi si snoda sotto i nostri piedi, alla scoperta dei segreti di un complesso sistema di cave e cisterne sotterranee, antiche cripte e gallerie sotto gli strati della città moderna. Passeggiando per il quartiere storico di Stampace, percorreremo a lume di candela gli oltre 180 metri della Galleria-Rifugio di Via Don Bosco, scopriremo la ricchezza storico-artistica di un piccolo gioiello ipogeo al centro della città, la Cripta di Santa Restituta e il Carcere di Sant’Efisio, luogo che secondo la tradizione ha ospitato il martire durante la sua prigionia a Cagliari prima del martirio a Nora.

Vi aspettiamo venerdì 31 ottobre con due appuntamenti: alle ore 10.00 e alle ore 16.00 in via don Bosco (fronte ex clinica Maria Ausiliatrice)

THE DISCOVERY OF STAMPACE AND ITS UNDERGROUND

With anecdotes and curiosities rediscover the history and sites of the historic district of Stampace observing its change in the last century, the evolution of the architecture and the new urban structure along its narrow streets and visiting the beautiful places of worship, the amphitheater and palaces, ancient and modern.
A fascinating journey that includes the underground city that still runs beneath our feet, to discover the secrets of a complex system of caves and underground cisterns, ancient crypts and tunnels beneath the layers of the modern city. Walking through the historic district of Stampace, will travel candlelit more than 180 meters of gallery-Refuge Via Don Bosco, we will discover the richness of art history is a small jewel underground to the city center, the Crypt of Santa Restituta and the Prison Sant’Efisio, a place that traditionally has hosted the martyr during his imprisonment in Cagliari to Nora before his martyrdom.

We are waiting for Friday, October 31 with two events: at 10.00 and at 16.00 in via Don Bosco (opposite former clinical Mary Help of Christians)
