REALITHING – CAGLIARI – CLUB THEATRE – EVERY THURSDAY FROM SEPTEMBER 6

“Realithing”, so we decided to call our laboratory, is the system of work that we want to explore, creating an alternative to the usual theatrical journey.

The yard work, held by the actor and director Gianluca Medas, will be offered once a week to a group of up to 20 people for 16 meetings. Analysis tool of reality itself, in all its complexity and articulation, is real life, the everyday: news reports, personal recollections or towels will become a starting point and the starting material to produce a drama that knows how to take into account the personality and the many facets of the character of those who choose to get involved.
The path will lead us to realize these goals does not want to actively take account of techne, that is, those techniques that are part of the vocational training of an actor in theater, a method, this, which is now in danger of being obsolete, old and not communication, linked to the aesthetic we now sterile and already widely explored.
The only possible for a type of work that, like ours, attempts to rediscover the value of spontaneity and improvisation, is to develop research as the only form of natural beauty, understand the emotional involvement as a realistic interpretation, and build on their background as a drama.

A journey that moves back towards the rehabilitation of their interpretive skills to get away from all the stereotypes that have broken down the Theatre: the rediscovery of the interpretation will lead to an enrichment than mere technique, and also the social function of art is enhanced by a look more conscious, by a more sensitive aesthetic perception.

Classes will take place from September 6, 2012 every Thursday from 20:00 to 22:00 at the “Theatre Club” of Cagliari, Via Roma 257.
