Starting from the problems related to communication with the press, with operators, with institutional bodies, but with an eye towards the main user of our work, the audience, Lost in promotion will explore three intense mornings, the way where you can create your own template to promote, disseminate and promote a performance project in different national contexts and not just at a time when the word “market” has changed greatly in meaning.
Next to the curators of the Seminar will take part in three intense morning sessions in order to share their personal expertise on issues related to different aspects of the production and promotion of national newspapers Critics, Promoters, Directors of Public Circuits and at least one representative of institutions. Guests of the different role and profile within the contemporary Italian scene will help us to draw a cross-mapping, new horizons to the role of market production circuits and networks, the experimentation of the original fundraising interweaving of different levels of communication (from traditional print to web 2.0).

The working sessions will be coordinated by Valeria Orani (independent producer and promoter of culture), Alessia Esposito (executive producer and organizer for the distribution and programming) of 369gradi – center production and dissemination of contemporary culture and will be mediated by Roberta Ferraresi and Carlotta Tringali of ‘Cultural Association which runs the webzine of TK theater critic of The Drum Kattrin
Day 1 (9:30 to 13:00)

3) Tools and Languages of the web 2.0: Overview of practical tools for the promotion and dissemination

Day 2 (9:30 to 13:00)
1) Design and distribution. The market transformation and productive horizons
2) Context of the project: from local to national to international
3) New forms for sustainable production
(From fund raising to crowdfunding, when the first manufacturer becomes your audience)

Day 3 (9:30 to 13:00)
1) Design and Programming. The dialogue with the institutions and the role of the circuits.
2) Mapping of public and private circuits
(Overview of festivals, networks and foundations. Opportunities and dynamics of the Italian system)
3) The system of Awards
4) New Horizons production: the market for homes

STRUCTURE OF THE COURSE:
Three days divided into three sessions (9:30 to 13:00 hours)

participation will be open to a maximum of 25 persons and the cost is € 150.00 including VAT per person, entries must be received no later than August 30, 2012.
